I bought my wedding dress there 21 years ago and was excited to take my daughter to look at a prom dress. The store needs to be updated. I agree with the other poster that it smells musty and the carpets need to be replaced. more

I stopped by to this local bridal store to shop for a Mother of the Bride dress. I had not made an appointment, however there was not a soul in the store. more

My life-long vision of having a wonderful experience in shopping for my wedding dress was dashed by Enchanting Moments. Excited to select my dress, my mother and I arrived early for our appointment only to be taken 40 minutes late with no apology. When Lisa, the bridal consultant, finally took us back she seemed like it was a bother for her to be there. After a difficult start, I considered leaving but decided since we traveled from Raleigh I would give it a chance. Looking back, I wish I would have left. When trying on dresses in a room without a mirror, Lisa brought them in without letting me see them from the front. How odd that I could not see a dress until I walked out where others could see it before me? It was the most bizarre shopping experience -- one that caused me to feel vulnerable instead empowered. Surprisingly, I did find a beautiful dress only to then find out that it was well over the budget I provided. Since my mother and I loved it, we decided to make the purchase and take Lisa's suggestion to pay for a ""rush"" delivery. After the promised delivery date passed and I had not heard from the store, I called and emailed before finally receiving a response that my dress would arrive later than promised. I was shocked at the lack of concern for the customer. It gets worse. When I arrived for my first fitting appointment, I was taken late again without apology. When I saw my dress in the fitting room, I realized that my sash was not there. Lisa, who now made herself scarce, had not informed me beforehand about the sash and was not available to help me dress. So much for spending thousands of dollars for a nice experience. One positive was working with the woman completing my alterations. She was WONDERFUL, professional, kind, and amazing at her job. When I came back again weeks later to try on my altered dress, the sash was still not there and Lisa again made herself scarce during my appointment. The woman in alterations had to help me dress, and then I had to seek out Lisa to discuss my missing sash. She did not offer any solutions or assurances and I had to insist that she mail it to me. Amazing that in this economy, EM is not interested in customer service. Just so you know, EM also does not give you a hanging bag for your wedding dress. Seriously. I am left to wonder if the contrasting reviews for this store are due to which consultant is assigned to you. I should have shopped at a store where someone would appreciate my business and enjoy what they do. more

We had a wonderful mother/daughter experience shopping for a prom dress. It was our first experience with this, and Renee at Enchanting Moments made it really easy and stress-free. She was very kind and helpful, and brought out several dresses which looked great and we loved. We narrowed it down to two, and my daughter came away with her dream dress for a decent price. I thought going into it that the prices would be really high, but they have everything from $75 - $500 dresses. We were pleased with the quality and price of our dress. It was a lovely day and a lovely experience! I would highly recommend gving it a try! Pros: Large selection, helpful staff Cons: A little out of the way! more

My sister-n-law called to make an appointment at Enchanting Moments. She spoke to a sales associate named Lisa who proceded to ask her a variety of questions but mainly if she was ""really going to buy something."" Lisa proceeded to tell my sister-n-law that she needed to get an idea for what she wanted, work out her budget and then come back to Enchanted Moments! This ""sales associate"" even had the nerve to tell her to try dresses on somewhere else. It seems that despite the economic crisis the rest of the world is feeling Enchanted Moments is doing so good that they can send good business away. Even worse when I called to complain to the manager, who assured me SHE would call and straighten things out she merely had Lisa call. Oblivious to her snobbish demeanor and clueless to why a customer may find it off putting for a sales associate to send away business Lisa perpetuated the situation by calling back to annoy my sister. This place may have enchanting dresses but it has pompus employees who don't know the first thing about customer service. Pros: Never go here! more

How excited we were when my daughter received an invitation to debut at the 2008 State Deb Ball. Then I realized how little I knew about what my daughter considered to be THE most important thing - her gown. Having never done this before I immediately contacted several friends whose daughters had been Debs. I received a great number of recommendations for Enchanting Moments, so I made an appointment and we headed for Fuquay-Varina. WOW We could not have imagined a better experience. All my fears of making a mistake concerning this milestone in my daughter's life, quickly disappeared. The level of knowledge and professionalism along with some gentle guidance left no doubt in our minds that our selections for my daughters gown , party dresses and accessories were perfect. But the most wonderful part was that we had fun. Our consultant, Lisa, was a jewel, making great suggestions and still giving us plenty of Mother /Daughter time as we nedded. Vada, our seamstress, left no doubt in our minds that everything would fit perfectly. We have an appointment during an upcoming Trunk Show (new experience for me) to find a gown and cocktail things for myself. I'm certainly excited about my turn. I know it will be just as wonderful as our first visit. more

This store was recommended to me over and over after I became engaged. From the very first phone call I was impressed. The consultant, Lisa, ask me questions in order to plan my appointment. The gowns are not hung out in the open but she continued to pull gowns based on my likes and dislikes. I was able to order a customized gown and stay within my price range! Very knowledgeable staff. They also have a great selection of mother of the bride dresses and my mom was able to find a dress that she is excited to wear. This store has been in business for a long time and they certainly know how to help a bride. I would recommend this store to anyone. this place is compeltely ridiculous. my step mom went in enchanting moments in fuquay and picked out a dress that she thought was beautiful Tried it on and with help from an associate she was told that the dress was absolutely gorgeous when the clerk knew good and well it looked really bad on her and you would think they wouldnt lie. from there she went to put more stress on my step mom and told her that she needed to buy a dress right away. my step mom. being the kind of bride thats just like every other bride out there. think that the sale associate knows everything and listens to her. and was presured into buying the dress. coming home all excited was totally suprising to the family but after seeing the photo of her in the dress we lead to tell her the truth about the dress it looked really bad. in all honesty. Crying and all upset about the outcome and demolishment of what the clerk had told her, she then calls the store asking if she could please get her money back or look at another dress. and the store clerk leads to tell her that she cant get her money back. from there the clerk said that she couldnt get her money back because they had altered it [but they only put pins in it] and it could not be returned. the clerk then said that she could come in and look at the other dresses so she set up an appointment for the following monday. On that monday my step mom went in and looked at the dress again and totally decided that she didnt like it and then the clerk said she couldnt look at the dresses or get her money back. even after the clerk had already said that she could look at the other dresses. we now my step mom that she shouldnt have bought the dress but should the clerk really have lied to her face and said it was pretty when she knew it wasnt. it is actually a law that they have to take it back within the 1st 48 hours and my step mom called within 38. Why would such a good wedding dress place that is sopose to make dreams come true want a bride unhappy?? I had a wonderful experience at Enchanting Moments. The gowns I tried on were fabulous and I enjoyed working with the staff. While some might not believe that a shop full of couture gowns could actually exist in Fuquay, you should definitely make an appointment and give it a try before you make any sort of conclusions. my experience was mediocre. the shop is really hard to find, and if you're late for your appointment because you couldn't find it, the staff is none too pleased. even though they don't answer the phone when you call from the road to get directions. you do get personal one-on-one service and they have a large selection of unique gowns. overall though, nothing about it wow-ed me. Start to finish Enchanting Moments was a great experience. I had read some of the reviews on this site and almost didn't shop here. I am so glad that I went to check it out for myself. My appointment was with Debbie, who is the buyer, and she found me a gown that could be ordered exactly like I wanted it and she kept it in my price range. I also bought my accessories, my bridesmaids, a rehearsal dress and my mom and mother in law found their dresses there. Vada did the alterations and all the dresses looked amazing. Alterations do cost extra but the cost is discussed on your first fitting appointment. The staff always knew my name and were very helpful. I couldn't of asked for better service at Enchanting Moments - from the moment I made my appointment to the alterations. Everyone was so nice and friendly and made me feel special. I felt like a princess :) more

What a wonderful time! I called for an appointment with Enchanting Moments and was greeted by a consultant that talked to me about everything I had envisioned about my wedding day. From our conversation she was able to help me find the most beautiful dress that was flattering to me as well as my budget. But this quality service didn't stop there. I was then scheduled for alterations and was even more overwhelmed by the knowledge of their alterations department. This business really does have so much to offer a bride from wedding dress, rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, dresses for Mom, and an alterations staff above all the rest. I would recommend Enchanting Moments to all brides looking for a great experience!!! more

After looking at dozens of gowns around Raleigh and Cary and finding only a few that I liked, I made an appointment at Enchanting Moments and Elizabeth helped me find ""the"" dress. It was perfect and I knew it the instant I put it on. Elizabeth was very talented at listening to what kinds of dresses I was interested in and then bringing out dresses that not only matched my requests, but also were very flattering to my body type. I really appreciated that they had larger sizes to try. Many other stores only carry size 6 or 8 samples (because there's no such thing as a size 12-14 bride!). Not only was Elizabeth great, but when it came to the alterations, Maura was incredible too. I was so happy with my entire experience at Enchanting Moments and would recommend it without any hesitation. My wedding was May 6th and I felt like a princess. Everyone loved the gown. I had an appointment at 2pm. I arrived at 1:50pm. I sat there and waited until 2:30pm when a woman, who seemed to be the manager or maybe owner greeted me. I was with my mother and my best friend. This woman asked if I was ""with these other women"". She never introduced herself to them. She said, ""sorry for having to wait"". We were led back to this room where there were evening gowns and an aisle of discounted wedding dresses. We were not offered anything to drink. Other women were there trying on dresses too. This shop does nothing to make the bride feel special. In fact, customers are made to feel like they are doing the business a favor. While trying on dresses, they only have these small square boxes to stand upon. They hand you a cheap, dollar store type of mirror so you can attempt to see the back of the gown. They do not have 3-way mirrors there. The women working there do not make any comments on the dresses. They do not suggest what may look good for certain types of weddings. After being there for almost 2 1/2 hours we were still not offered a drink - not even water. They never made suggestions for accessories such as earrings, necklaces, etc. Very rude and unaccommodating. In fact this owner, manager was very rude and snapped at a few questions and suggestions made. I would not recommend this place unless a person knew that they were desperate and only wanted to check out the dresses. A bride should be made to feel like a princess while shopping for a dress. This is such a special time for a woman and her mother or special family member or friends. I wouldn't waste my time or money in this shop! more

I had an appt. at EM this past weekend. Karen was a delight. She listened to every word I said. Offered me gowns that were within my price,(under 2,000),talked to me about why things cost what they do, MOST IMPORTANTLY,without making me think they were out of my reach. NEVER presssured me. I am larger, so this wasn't easy for me. I'll be buying my dress at the end of March. WHOOPEE! Pros: kind, listened, plus sizes more

My entire experience at Enchanting Moments has been a total nightmare, and I actually purchased a dress from them. All they care about is getting your money, and once they do, they treat you like dirt. Every member of their staff is very condescending and agressive. They don't listen to a word you say. I have been deceived and lied too by this store. They ruined my wedding dress and refused to give me a refund for it. I haven't even taken it out of the store. I used Enchanting Moments for my bridal gown shop after going with my sister to purchase hers 4 years ago. My sister and I both had lovely experiences there. The staff made us feel very important and comfortable. The selections of dresses were made with us in mind, and we both liked having a professional staff helping us decide which style flattered each of us. I was warned before I went to Enchanting Moments. I should have listened. I found the perfect wedding dress at a trunk show but should have run with the dress once it was delivered. I had nothing but bad experiences and rude attitudes during the alteration process (my mom was even insulted). The veil I ordered didn't come as I had specified and then I was blamed for it (as if I put through the order). And my dress was not pressed well when the alterations were complete. I was told it was due to the type of fabric. I took it somewhere else to have it pressed again before the wedding & it looked amazing after that pressing. I would NEVER recommend Enchanting Moments. You may find your dream dress but you will not have dreamy service and isn't that what your wedding should be all about? Cons: bad service, bad attitudes, no photos allowed more
