Eatz is Fantastic 5/6/2009

Eatz is so much fun... you feel like you are having a night out with friends. You start the night out with appitizers and you can drink as much wine as you want. \r You learn how to cook everything on the menu and then you get to eat the food you cooked and socialize with the other that were in the class.\r \r Niki is fun and is a very good teacher. I have taken 6 classes here so far and will continue to take classes until I have taken them all. :) Pros: You cook your own food. Cons: Can't think of any... more

Fun, Delicious Way to Spend An Evening 1/17/2009

This was the first cooking class I've ever done! My boyfriend and I wanted to try something new after watching too much Top Chef. :) The instructor was wonderful! She was so friendly and helpful. She taught us lots of little techniques as well as going through the recipes step by step.\r I took the Tapas class and the food we made was so delicious. I found this class very empowering since the instructor let us do as much as possible ourselves and really made sure we all knew what was going on.\r The class was held in a cozy little townhouse in West Hollywood... it felt like a dinner party with friends except that you were learning how to cook at the same time you were socializing and eating.\r Overall a great experience! I'd definitely take another class here. Pros: Brilliant instructor, lots of fun AND educational Cons: Parking was a bit tricky on a Friday night more

Cooking with wine 10/17/2008

For my birthday, my boyfriend signed us up for a cooking class. I am not a very good cook, but I had a blast at this class! The class was held in the instructor's home, so it was very quaint. And her home is absolutely adorable. We took the ""rendezvous a deux"" class. Upon arrival, we were greeted with drinks and appetizers. And my wine glass was promptly refilled throughout the evening. The instructor went through some cooking techniques (basic knife skill, etc...nothing too hard or fancy) and had a few pointers on the ingredients we were using. And then she took us through her recipes step by step. After class, we ate our creations under the stars (on her patio). It was such a fabulous evening. My only warning would be to get very specific directions online before heading over there...it was a bit confusing. But it was definitely worth it. Pros: Ambiance, very friendly laid-back instructors, great date idea Cons: a little hard to find more
