Eats is becoming somewhat of a legend. Excellent food; low prices; kitschy atmosphere. What more can you ask for? What I don't get is how they can make super-simple things l...

Decent Food - Cash Only 6/17/2007

Cheap eats - Basically a Meat and Two Sides or Pasta. Don't expect a five-star meal, but for the price, the food is not bad. It is far more tasty and far more healthy than any fast food chain. Service is fairly quick and easy. The best part of all is perhaps the mix of people dining in. Parking is available, but the lot is small. more

HEALTHY, FRESH, SATISFYING, CHEAP: BE WARNED, IT MAY BE HABIT FORMING. 5/13/2007

A very good idea, well executed. The ingredients are fresh, the menu is simple, but there are lots of permutations with three meats ( My surprise favorite is the turkey meatloaf ! ), more than ten vegetables/ sides, many pastas, and six or seven sauces. Drinks and deserts, too. Busy and worn, but clean. Food is served quickly; you pick it up at the counter, and choose a table. The quality is consistent, and a very good value. It's even great for vegetarians! more

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! I warned you! 3/16/2007

Food is not that cheap. I spent 30 bucks on 3 people and nobody liked their food. Pros: Location, Friendly People Cons: Food, Price, Parking, Smell more

My favorite! 2/23/2007

Basically, if it's one of those days where you can't decide what you want, go to Eats. They have a really good menu with everything from Caribbean-Jerk Chicken to mac and cheese (both of which are yummy). I have daydreams about their fettucini alfredo with garlic bread. And it is all SO cheap--perfect for us college students and starving artist types. Don't expect a fine dining experience, though. While Eats is more relaxed than other short-order joints, service is fast and no-nonsense. Pros: cheap food, yummy Cons: not fine dining by any means more

Food you crave and cheap 2/20/2007

Most restaurants I like have one or two menu items that I enjoy. At Eats, I crave any one of 6 or 7 things and always leave satisfied. The alfredo and pesto sauces are better, in my opinion, than ritzy Italian restaurants. The service is fast and no-nonsense. Don't go there if you're expecting a guy with a towel over his arm to serve you at your table. This is tasty food with a diverse crowd at a low price. Pros: Fast service, multiple menu items with great flavors that you crave, cheap Cons: Chicken chili is a little too spicy but I order it anyway more

Eats -the name says it all! :D 12/27/2006

Best Cheap Food, crawling with Emory Students. It seems like an off campus cafeteria. Pasta is solid, jeck chicken is like 2 meals. more

THE place to go for cheap eatin' 11/18/2006

Seriously - you get so much for your money here. It's pretty straightforward - pasta or chicken. The pasta comes with a range of sauces and add-ons (like sausage) and you choose the pasta type itself. The chicken comes in 2 varieties, always juicy and well-spiced, and a choice of 2 sides. Saved my life many times over. Pros: very inexpensive, fantastic food for the price Cons: parking more

Great and Cheap 11/13/2006

I see why this place is popular. The variety is good and jamaican (can't say the real word here, haha) chicken delish, thoughI was dissapointed that it was not as spicy as I expected...Still, I would recommend this place anyday. Pros: Chicken, Mon Cons: Not very spicy more

great value 11/2/2006

Where else can you get half a chicken, rice, black beans, and cornbread for $6? The pasta is good and cheap too. more

one of the best values in Atlanta 11/1/2006

Eats is not a romantic place to take a date, but if you're on a tight budget and want a large helping of yummy, fresh food, it's awesome. There are two lines, one for pasta and one for chicken and veggies. I usually go for the chicken and veggies, since places like Figo and Little Azio are doing the ""mix and match"" pasta deal better. The chicken is outstanding, and I also really like their corn on the cob, black beans and couscous. This is one of the best meals you can get for under $8 in the city. Pros: great value, fresh food Cons: atmosphere is nothing to write home about more

Chicken & Jive! 9/29/2006

Low prices, and the Best Jerked- Chicken in the ATL! Just order at the counter for that chicken and choice of two sides. We like the black beans and rice. They also have a pasta counter, with Italian sausage and several sauces to choose from. Hole-In-The-Wall atmosphere, with the best diversified diners in the city, who know a good value. Good Eats! Pros: ATL's Best Jerked-Chicken, Low Prices! Cons: Parking could be a problem, if driving! more

Great comfort food for the price; a tremendous value 8/7/2006

EATS really is the kind of spot where you pay 5 dollars for a hot homemade meal that'll stick to your bones. Skip the pasta section; the noodles are often overdone and the sauces are pretty bland. However, the meat and veggies line is what EATS is known for--perfectly steamed greens, fresh cornbread, comforting chicken chili and great rotisserie meats. The selection of veggie sides is impressive. Don't come here expecting shiny-clean tables and muzak playing in the background, and the parking lots leaves a lot to be desired. However, the food is fresh and fast and the prices won't leave you hurting. Pros: Price, portions, turkey meatloaf Cons: Parking lot, cash only more

Great Comfort Food 6/8/2006
