I recommend that you do not visit this clinic. It was a great place with quality medical service when it was an urgent care facility, but not now. As a ""free-standing emergency room"", the level of professional medical care is more than subpar. Billing practices are also unethical. We were there with our five year-old for 7 hours. There was a shift change and the doctor on duty (also one of the owners) did not let us know that he was leaving or introduce us to the new doctor on shift, who we never saw until we specifically requested to speak with him. Our child was put through unnecessary testing and was severely traumatized. They also had their billing manager performing nursing duties because they were short-staffed. Do not take your young children there. The staff does not have the knowledge of pediatrics to treat or even make an accurate diagnosis. Go to Children's Medical Center Legacy instead. Children's is wonderfully equipped and more than capable! more

Do not go to this place! It is huge rip off as others have stated. I asked several times what the charges would be. They came into my room several times to talk about the charges. But somehow failed to tell me about a $778 facility charge! This is a huge scam! They mislead their customers and then will come after you for their money. Do not be fooled! more

I wanted to take a moment and express my delight over a recent unplanned visit to your facility in Plano. I was greeted by LaShonda at the front desk who swiftly brought me back to a room where I was seen by nurse Jeff and Dr. Shedd. The purpose of my visit was to deal with a stubborn staph infectioin and all your staff treated me with respect and courtesy. Lucky for me the office was open past 8pm and I could walk right in for treatment. I appreciated the thoroughness of my visit and the care I received! more

Everyone was great. The Dr. was very interrested and saw to it that my husband was comfortable. The nurse was also very nice and also made sure my husband was comfy. They were both very nice and we felt very comfortable here and had a very pleasant experience for and ER. more

I have never been into an emergency care clinic where I have seen a more attentive staff, or with a better bed side manner. The clinic is extremily clean and well organized, and the nurse staff was absolutely amazing! Horrible experience in every way. First, they told me I would only have to pay a $40 co-pay then billed me for $300. Then my wound did not heal properly and I was told they would charge me again for a wound check. I paid the $300 then received notice from them claiming I had not paid my bill. I had to find the cancelled check (which had been deposited by them only 3 days after I wrote it) and was forced to pay my bank $4 just to get a copy. They were incredibly rude and treated me like a dead-beat who wouldn't pay his bill. All their mistake and no apology. Will never set foot in the place again. Terrible experience in every way. more

for a simple 20 minutes visit, they charge $360 facility fee, and another $360 fee for the er doctor, .... etc. making a total $1682. do not fall for these thieves more

Recently I broke my pinky finger at the joint level. It was a pretty good break but nothing that serious. Initially I didn?t know if it was a sprain or a break so I went to the ER centers of America by my work in Plano. I went up to the window and the first thing out of my mouth was if they accepted United health care. They said yes we do and all I would have to pay was a copay ($75). I said ""Great"". They took 3 x-rays of my finger and told me that it was a serious break that would require surgery scaring the crap out of me. They bound my hand with wrapping all the way up to my elbow! They also put my arm in a a freaking sling stating that the break could spread to my arm. HAHA! Needless to say I took that off when I left. The next day I saw my Orthopedist in which he informed me that no surgery was needed, the wrapping and sling was ridiculous and all I had to do was tape it to my ring finger for 6 weeks. So yesterday I receive a bill in the mail for $785. The wrapping of my hand alone was a ridiculous $450! I called and asked why my insurance wasn?t paying for this in which they answered that it was applied to my deductible. To make a long story short, come to find out that they did not take united health care and it was out of network sticking me with the whole bill. They know if they tell people this initially that the person will go elsewhere. I have read similar stories to mine on the review boards. They will over charge you or your insurance company and will lie to you on accepting most insurance policies. more

An amazing place! I was a bit reluctant to go here based upon some of the previous comments but I was in terrific pain from kidney stones and this was the closest place. Upon my arrival I was given a fact sheet about their in/out of network insurance policy. I don’t understand the confusion expressed by some folks. I had to wait no more than 5 minutes to be seen, they get right to you once you are in a room and take your pain very seriously. I have been so impressed with this establishment; I will always go here first before I would ever go to a hospital. more

My family and I have been impressed by the caring and fast care we've received here. Our daughter broke her arm this morning in a soccer game and we're already home! Had we gone to the hospital, we would likely still be sitting in the waiting room! Never again to the hospit, we've found the right place for our family. more

First off, there are some fake reviews here. The first review from DeLaHoya is clearly Dr. Kutsen- clearly trying to up the overall rating. I will say that the service was fantastic. We were see quickly, given great care, and were out of there in no time. Then the nightmare begin. Months and months of incorrect billing, involving a collection agency when our insurance was never billed, being told over and over again that our account was settled, then being told we still had a balance, and worst off, being treated like garbage by their office staff. I would NEVER go to this facility again. You can't trust that the same level of service you receive while you're there will be the same when the bill comes. more

I went in with a terrible cough and was seen by the doctor, not a nurse, within minutes! No wait...wow! I was advised up front that this is an emergency facility and it is a good thing that I went there instead of an urgent care because I had a serious case of pneumonia. I was admitted direct to Baylor and didn't have to go thru their ER or admittance desk. Great job! I hope I don't have to go back but if I'm sick, this is where I'll go. more

We did receive very good, quick medical care while we were in the clinic. It wasn't until a few months later that the bills started arriving. I paid my copay for insurance the night we were there. When they filed the insurance they did not submit everything correctly. It was denied with a note that we were not responsible for the balance. I have received bills for almost 9 months, I have called everytime I received a bill. I was told each time, we'll look into it. No one ever did, they are rude on the phone and will send your account to a collection agency if you don't just pay their amount. It will definately not be worth it next time. I'll go to the Medical City ER, pay my higher copay and be out less money. Beware of admin. at this place, very incompetent!!! more

These people will rip you off. Beware. I called to asked the price of a visit and explained the situation with insurance. They told me the price was $120.00. There were no tests, lab, x-rays or anything else done. Only 10 minutes with a doctor. At checkout they said the cost was 95.00 so it was paid.. Next thing we know a bill for another $400 shows up because they said the whole bill was not paid at the time of the visit. It would have paid if they told us that was the cost. Calls to their billing department got a 20% off the $400! No help at all when you expected to pay $120.00 Don't go to these folks unless you don't care about the price. I visited Er Centers of America for a strange leason on my leg - not sure what it was. I was able to walk in, be seen by Dr. Kutsen in less that 15 minutes. There was no wait time what so ever! The facility is high-tech, was able to diagnos my issue, wrote a percrisption and I was on my way. It was easy and convenient. Even nicer, they take BCBS - so I only had to pay my co-pay. Quicker than seeing my personal physician. I strongly reccomend Er Centers of America in Plano as a place to go if you are in need of a quick diagnosis and do not have time to wait. Pros: Not wait time, In & Out in less than 45 minutes! more
