Dubunne Day Spa

My sister is the one that turned me on to Dubunne Day Spa one year by giving me a gift certificate. She has found that Dubunne's is one of the best Spa's she and her husband really enjoy the most. They travel alot and are constantly going on criuises and are always getting messages. She has yet to find one better than Dubunne's. They live in Corona and still come all the way down here to go to Dubunne's when, " Glen Ivy" is closer to their home. I had always hesitated in getting messages, I had always felt very self- conscience about my body let alone having someone touching me and giving me a message, Oh no, I wasn't letting that happen. But being a working mother of four kids, my stress level has always been very high, I finally got the courage to use it and now I'm hooked. I was shocked! I never thought I would feel this way. The messages are like a healing in itself, for an hour and a half you are being pampered and catered too. You can eat, you can have a drink, its all about you. The guys even have their own, "Sports Lounge". The very first time I got a "Swedish Message", I came home and slept like a baby for four hours, I didn't want to wake up. I have never felt so relaxed, and it last for hours. I so relaxed and at ease I had more patience for my kids. Now, for any occassion thats all I want. "Gift Certificates"!!!!. For my Birthday, Mother's Day, Christmas, you name it ,any chance I get to go, I'm going!!! I even have my daughter and husband hooked. Once you go you will be hooked too. The people there are so pleasant, they make you feel so comfortable. The therapist do so well in making you feel comfortable too. If you ever get an opportunity to go, Please do!!! I walked in frazzled to the bone wondering if a spa day could revitalize me. I was greeted by friendly smiling faces, ushered to the ladies locker room given a wonderfully soft robe and slippers and asked if I would like something to drink, a Mimosa perhaps? Hmm there might be something to this place after all. After a relaxing drink I am ushered into the massage room and made comfortable, my masseuse begins the most wonderful massage and I realize that everything is going to be OK. After the massage I am taken to the quiet room and given a cup of tea, AAHH I really like this place and I know from this day forward I will be asking for gift certificates to DuBunne. I have visited DuBunne several times. The staff is great and you don't feel rushed. I have experienced a facial, massage, scalp massage and aromatherapy bath. All three services were great. These experiences make you very relaxed and are a great stress reliever. If I could afford to visit once a month I would. You will not walk away disappointed. Pros: Days and Hours of service. I had an absolutely fantastic experience at DuBunne Day Spa almost two years ago. It out-did all my other times at the Spa. Let me start almost 4 months before when my daughter had her legs waxed because she was leaving for Marine Basic Training at Parris Island, South Carolina the next week. We were at DuBunne, having a wonderful time and my daughter said that when she returns from Boot Camp, the two of us should have a "girlfriends day at the spa". She booked the day for the day after her return from Parris Island. I was surprised that she wanted to do that with her mother. Finally the day arrived for me to fly to South Carolina for her graduation and the tears from both of us would not stop. The moment the platoon was given leave, after their emblem ceremony, and she jumped in my arms, words cannot describe. We left the next day and talked about our day together at the spa. When the day arrived, we went to the spa and were treated like royalty. Everyone knew us from our trips there before and knew why we were there. The room for the massages, facials, pedicures was a dream. There was a fireplace, soft music, everything to make our day even more special. We talked, laughed, even a couple of more tears shed because of the special day. We never felt hurried and had the best day possible thanks to the staff at Dubunne's. My daughter even had her legs waxed again. They really needed that. I can't say that I was surprised at how we were treated because every time I go to Dubunnes, I am alway treated with the same respect and friendliness. The staff knows who I am and also the rest of my family. This one day though will also stay with me as extra special. A day with my Marine daughter, at the Spa. Truly a wonderful, wonderful day. I have been going to DuBunne for a few years now and have had a great experience everytime. Whether it was for a quick manicure or a full day treatment I am treated like a queen. The staff is always friendly and my appointments start on time. I like that we are not rushed though,everyone is peaceful and nothing seems rushed. Even my husband has enjoyed going for a massage and likes to get gift certificates from here. We give gift certificates to those that need a break and get pampered. what i love best about going to a spa is feeling absolutely relaxed and pampered. Dubunne does it all. Everyone, starting from the moment you walk through their doors to the therapists and cleaning ladies are very attentive, warm, and friendly. the massages were great as well! i got the deep tissue and i woke up the next morning still feeling great! their couples treatment has a great outside setting - soak in a tub together, outdoor side by side massages then some champange or tea on a private patio. I visit DuBunne day spa as often as I can. Whenever an Anniversary, Birthday or Holiday roll around my family knows that a gift certificate to DuBunne is THE big pleaser. I recently took my teenager with me for some good ol Mother Daughter fun. I purchased a micro dermabrasion facial with Ms. Yoakum, how relaxed and pampered I felt,and I came out of there with glowing beautiful skin. My daughter eperienced the stress relief body wrap with mini facial and could not stop talking about how great it was. The staff is very well trained and know how to make you feel comfortable and completely at home. After our treatments we were offered some cool drinks, my daughter had fresh juice and I had a Mimosa, Yum! We sat in the virtual room on comfortable reclining chairs and were literally transformed to some exotic carribean beaches. WOW! this is a must see. DuBunne is my favorite day spa. My best friend and I planned a birthday/christmas surprise at DuBunne last year. We decided to give each other a day at the spa for Christmas, and picked a time to do it together since she was at medical school in Vermont, while I was in law school in San Francisco, and we're seldom home at the same time. With her medical school exams and me studying for the bar exam, we needed a massage, stat! So we decided to go all out and organize a covert operation to suprise both our moms for their Christmas gifts as well. My best friend used a cover story of "meeting for lunch" and I said I wanted a ride from my mom because I knew I'd be far to relaxed to watch the road after my massage. So we pulled into the lot and our moms were surprised to see each other, but more surprised that they were in for a treat too! DuBunne was SO great about organizing our day of fun. With two moms, two best friends, and my sister to organize, they still managed to get us all in for our desired services in a timely manner, but without any hint of rush or stress (and just two days before Christmas too!). Because of the kinds of services we wanted, my best friend and I ended up enjoying a joint dip in the patio spa. A romantic place - but good for quality girl talk too. The we had side-by-side massages by some truly gifted massage therapists. In every DuBunne experiences the staff are professional, friendly, and really good about personalizing the experience - and they all pay attention to sore spots and apply pressure according to a client's preferences. I would recommend this spa to anyone who needs some extra pampering after a stressful day or just for a special celebration. It's perfect for a group of girls ready to have some relaxing fun! I've yet to find a place I like as much. Their gift certificates make great gifts too - and you can print them yourself, which is such a convenient way to give a universally appreciated gift! Who would have thought a a beautiful spa would be sitting amidst a residential area. Its definitely a great find! I have been going to DuBunne for a few years now for waxing (eyebrows) and facials and I can't remember one experience that hasn*t been close to perfect! The spa itself is huge filled with luxury at affordable prices. You are greeted by friendly faces and and an aroma that smells oh-so delicious! I started taking my mom for facials and she is hooked! Once you arrive for your appointment (arrive at least 10 minutes early so u can make full use of all their accomodations), you are taken to a private area and provided with a clean robe and slippers (there are body scrubs, lotions, hair products, etc for u to use after ur service if u want). There are fresh fruits, teas, granola bars and juices for you to indulge in while you wait for your service in a dimly lit seating area. The estheticians are extremely helpful in trying to help you with your troubles - sunspots, dry skin, acne, etc. I am not saying they are going to solve your problems, but they give you helpful pointers. They even pull out products that may be useful to you but you have the option not to buy..no pressure! As for waxing, they are extremely hygenic! They do NOT double dip in their wax!!! Which is amazing..yes, it takes a bit longer but the thought of somebody else*s skin particles/bodily fluids being in the wax grosses me out! Fortunately, I don't have to worry about that with DuBunne. Oh, I am a huge fan of Trisa - she*s a perfectionist, extremely sweet, and handles with care! :o) Anyway..try them out! DuBunne Day Spa is a great place to kick your shoes off and relax. Their service is the best around. YOu feel welcomed and at peace once you enter their doors. Great place for alittle alone time with that someone special or just with yourself. The perfect gift for any occasion. Once you have a treatment with one of their wounderful staff you will be hooked. Having been massaged, etc. previously, I had certain expectations and qualifications from a spa. I set up a lovely day for myself at DuBunne. After spending some time in the sauna, I started with the most delicious aromatherapy facial. The technician was gentle, efficient and friendly. The beautiful aromatic oils transported me to another place and time. I was so relaxed and my skin was glowing. This was followed by a Rainforest Eco Massage. I can barely express how wonderful this treatment was. With the warm water raining from above and the perfect touch of the masseuse, I became total jello, more relaxed than I had every been. I have been to DuBunne a number of times for various treatments -- massage, manicure/pedicure, facial, etc. The massages they do there are wonderful. For example, when pregnant with my first child, I had a prenatal massage there that was fantastic. I was a little apprehensive, being pregnant and all, but the massage therapist was gentle and made me feel very comfortable. Plus, the massage table they have for pregnant ladies is great - a protected space for the belly allowed me to lay on my tummy which was quite the indulgence as any pregnant mama would know! The other massages I have had there are wonderful, and I always feel very comfortable and well-taken care of. What makes the experience complete is the lounging area with a fountain, fresh fruit to nosh on, and beverages -- making it a wonderful space to relax with your robe on. It is a great place to go with a friend to unwind and leave the daily grind for a couple of hours. The dressing area/shower/locker room is well equipped and comfortable. You wouldn't expect such a great place when driving by on Arlington Ave. -- but tucked away off the street is a little slice of heaven known as DuBunne Day Spa! more

The pedicures are the best!! Talk about privacy...They service you in a mini suite with a masage chair and foot bath. It is so quiet and relaxing. You are given head phones and your choice of juice or cappucino. The pedicurist srubs your feet and gets to work on all of the callouses. The most relaxing 1 hour pedicure I have ever had!! Pros: Privacy while getting pedicure and excellent foot massgae Cons: I live in the high desert and must drive 1 1/2 hours to get there more

A few years ago my son bought me a gift certificate to DuBunne Day Spa. Since it was 50 miles away from my home, I though "Why couldn't he get me a certificate to a spa in my local town?" I drove down to the spa and what a surprise. I loved every minute of it. It was my greatest spa experience ever. I've had facials from vegas to Hawaii and this is by far the best. For me, it's worth the 50 mile drive--every single mile. Pros: They give you plush robes, have a beautiful dressing room & showers. more

The staff at DuBunne cater to your every whim. You are even allowed to stay before and after to pamper yourself a little more with their amazing show facilities and dressing room. Took my mother there for Mother's Day as well and she had the time of her life. She is a little heavier and was uncomfortable at the thought of undressing but when she left she could do nothing but rave about it. I am becoming a frequent customer there. more

Dubunne is amazing and affordable. I simply loved going to get my ultimate facial this past week, it felt so fresh and clear I was amazed at the results. The greet at the door was so friendly they gave me a tour of the facilities and the womens locker room is heaven. As the guest you get your own personal fresh robe and slippers and in the shower room there are these divine shower scrubs that make your skin feel silky smooth. Now being a woman there are so many things we use on ourselves to get beautiful, they have almost every amenity you could think of from hairdryers to personal brushes that are for each individual client. I felt like a princess. If you get the chance please go it's well worth it. I'm taking my boyfriend for a couples getaway for our anniversary, I can't wait to see what he thinks, I know he'll love the massage and he is by far the pickiest person when it comes to massages. My first trip to Dubunne's was about a year ago when a friend gave me a gift certificate. I was a little nervous about getting a treatment done, but she had raved about it so much I thought it was worth a try. Now I wouldn't got anywhere else. Dubunne does a great job of being a relaxing full service spa without the arrogance a lot of other spas have. I always feel like royalty when I'm at Dubunne and I make sure to reccomend it to all my friends. My favorite treatment is the extended swedish massage, and I always make time to go in the sauna or jacuzzi. Pros: friendly and knowledgeable staff more

Like the previous reviewer I always wanted to get a massage, but was self conscience about my weight. Being a larger person I was afraid that I would feel uncomfortable amongst the other woman. My daughter finally convinced me to go and now I can't stop. The staff is always friendly and ready to get you whatever you need. I've tried several different treatments including the swedish massage and the cranberry facial and loved them both. I also love going early so I can relax in the sauna before my treatment. I am from out of state and my husband wanted to do something special for me. Once again I tried to get out of it. Because I am a large woman and very ashamed of myself. This place was THE GREATEST!!! They took my husband and I on a tour and made me feel so WELCOMED and RELAXED so I DID IT!!!!!!! A Queen for the DAY package and I have never felt so good. I was afraid of it being..... I don't know but I from a small town in Indiana and this place was like HEAVEN ON EARTH for me. I have never had people wait on me like this place. All employees were so friendly... not just friendly but like they are your friends, you know. I have not had so much attention at work when I returned home. All the girls want to know every detail. They about worn out the website. I was wearing sandals to work in a Indiana Feburary because I couldn't cover up such a wonderful set of perfectly manicured piggies. This place is for everyone!!!!! Dubunne's is like going on vacation: an island in the middle of the city. I arrive early so I can use the free body scrubs in the shower room served in large martini glasses to take at your leisure. I often spend time in the steam room before and sometimes after any service. I most enjoy the full body swedish massage in Lavender oil, plus scalp massage. I always add the scalp massage, so my heavy head is happy. I am also in love with the Deep Pore Cleansing facial; the esthetician is quite knowledgable and friendly. On my last visit, I brought my partner, and we spent time in the outdoor jacuzzi saluting our "time off" with a glass of champagne and juice, then we broke off into our private massage rooms. ( you may also do them side by side) Try Dubunne and you will leave feeling blissed out of your mind. The spa offers a plethora of services and I am working my way down to trying them all. We all deserve a day at Dubunne! more
