Visit spa for good health! 7/23/2007

A couple of years ago I experienced some unusual physical symptoms that required a prolonged period of testing while searching for a diagnosis. I noticed during this time that my stress level significantly increased. Although my physical symptoms were troublesome, I knew I needed to reduce my stress or risk worsening health. A friend reccommended that I go to Dubunne for a massage. I was not sure that I would feel comfortable getting a massage but decided to give it a try. My therapist put me at ease and gave me a relaxation massage. It was wonderful! I noticed that after my massage my physical symptoms had decreased. I then began having massages on a regular basis and my physical symptoms have been reduced to a minimum. The massages I received at Dubunne helped restore me to better health. Recently I had a headache that persisted for several days. My doctor diagnosed a tightened shoulder muscle and gave me a muscle relaxant. Based on my prior positive experience, the following day I made an appointment with my massage therapist. She targeted my tight muscles and by the end of the session my headache was completely gone and it has not returned. I have found massage to be so beneficial to improving my health that I now reccommend it to my friends and family. At Dubunne there are so many options available. I suggest the stone massage or a rain forest massage for a special treatment. There is a quiet room where I have found myself dozing as I recline and relax after my massage. The waterfall showers and scented scrubs are a delightful end to my time at the spa. I would encorage anyone who suffers from stress or chronic health conditions to consider massage as a theraputic tratment option. Pros: variety of services, wonderful staff, quiet room, waterfall showers Cons: co-ed, outside hot tub more

DuBunne, the best gift you will ever give yourself! 7/23/2007

DuBunne Spa is the best gift I can request from friends and family and give to myself. My husband and I do the wonderful Tropical Spal Pleasures for Two every anniversary. You would never know you are in Torrance, California, once you walk out the door to the outside hot tub filled with yummy smellintg rose petals. That's followed by the outdoor couples massage on the side by side heated massage tables. You would think you were somewhere in the Caribbean! There's always the steam room and the shower with all of the great scrubs after the massage. It's relaxing, romantic and fun. I highly recommend it for any couple. I've also had facials, waxing, manicures and pedicures at Dubunne. You will be treated like a queen with every one of these services. You get a private room for the pedicures. You sit in a massage chair and get a hot pack for your neck. Of course they always ask you if you would like something to drink. The facials are the best I've ever had. The products are top of the line and my skin feels wonderful for days afterwards. Five Stars for DuBunne. Pros: Excellent service. Really try to please customer. Very clean. Reasonable prices. A free membership gives you lots of discounts. Cons: Dressing Room needs a restroom more

Best Spa in the South Bay 7/22/2007

I had my first massage and Bath Tx at Dubunne. Talk about being in heaven. The bath made me feel refreshed, calm and relaxed and that lasted for 20 minutes. Then, I had the rainforest eco massage [50 minutes] and that felt soooo good as the waters cascaded down my body as I was being given a message. Over all, I spent 3-4 hours at the spa and loved every minute of it. Everyone should treat themselves to a day of relaxation every so often. It will do your mind and body wonders! Pros: In a very quaint neighborhood more

DuBunne Day Spa - OUTSTANDING service and treatments 7/21/2007

Think a European spa experience right in the heart of the South Bay. Super attentive staff that make one feel like Mae West. This is a soulfully blissful experience and one that is not to be missed. Do the couples massage if you are part of a couple and if you're not, don't let it stop you, there is plenty one going solo can enjoy. SUPER clean environment to boot - plenty of little "extras" in the women's shower room and complementary Coronas in a bucket in the mens' shower room - now, how would I know about that? Pros: Superb treatments, outstanding staff makes one feel like a movie star! Cons: Critical types could find something I'm sure, I have none. more

Secret De-Stress Locale in Torrance 7/18/2007

Why have I labeled DuBunne Spa "secret De-Stress" in Torrance, it is! After seeking "day spas" in Los Angeles City/County there are numerous places - over crowded - booking appointment always filled, parking fees humph! DUBUNNE has ample free parking spaces- easy acess via street and freeway friendly that got my attention. What sealed the deal! The most friendliest-smiley- staff of professional people. The view on the website is exactly what you get when you are there in person. Each room is beautiful crafted for your sensual pleasure, be it smell or sight very clean. Dressing rooms to the shower/steam room AWESOME - can be very private if you so desire that type of comfort while dressing. Private Pedicure salons, not open like those "mall places" I have tried just about everything that they offer all have been "very very good" facials, manicure, pedicure, body scrubs, massages, this body loves it when I write in my appointment book Dubunne, it knows is good times ahead to a very blissful night of good sleep.Oh I forgot to mention that "couples" are most highly welcomed the men love the place - even if they fussed at first ladies, TRUST me they will be booking the next appointment for you both or just for you and his alone time. Had couple of my "girls to hang for the day" great, food, attention to every detail was made. We loved it. Mothers of all ages, especially the ones with "grown folks" I seen you there enjoying your retirement years, grinning and smiling like school girls. Now the best thing to do is stop reading this review and BOOK your secret de-stress locale at Dubunne on their newly designed website, I do so what are you waiting for - let me say I am a member of the Dubunne after my 1 visit that has been 1 year ago. your mind will love you more, your body will be thankful. Pros: Ambience a plus, Rainforest Massages, Shower rooms a plus Cons: men have the sauna! more

DU BUNNE DAY SPA 7/17/2007

I've been going to Du Bunne for years now, and everytime I drive there for my appointment, I get the feeling of my body starting to slowly relax and anticipating a wonderful experience. The feeling never change, through the years. From the time I walk in and is greeted by the friendly people at the reception desk, to the time I walk out, the only feeling of regret is that I couldn't stay much longer and have to go back to face the reality of the outside world. It's a totally glorious experience, from the time I don on my robe and slippers to the treatment I have chosen. What I like about Du Bunne is that they really care about their clients, listen to the comments and strive to please, adding more and more ammenities to completely satisfy them. I love their Swedish massage and scalp treatment, and have tried a lot of their facials. They have facials to suit any type of skin problem and mood. And, I like the fact that the products they use on my skin is readily available for purchase at the front of the spa, should I choose to continue using them at home. I rave about Du Bunne to all my family and friends and am proud to be a regular client. Du Bunne is synonymous to relaxation, in the true sense of the world. more

Mother/Daughter Bonding - Nothing Better!!! 7/17/2007

My mom and I have made it a tradition to celebrate at DuBunne. Mother's Day, birthdays, and more - we spend the morning at the spa, enjoying massages and facials as well as mimosas while relaxing in the lounge or serenity room and honestly there is nothing better. The service is amazing - the staff is as congenial as can be - and the atmosphere is simply superb. Topping it off with a shower with the fabulous scrubs available and the 5 star facilities, we both leave relaxed and always bond with the experience. It has become a delightful and amazing tradition! And we both can't wait for the next reason to celebrate ;) more

Spactacular Experience 7/17/2007

DuBunne Spa has special sentimental attatchment for me. I lived near it all my life, but never knew it was there until my 24th birthday when some of my coworkers gave me a gift certificate. At the time I was going crazy teaching full time, finishing up an MA, and planning a wedding all at the same time. Boy were they ever right when they figured that I needed to relax. Never having been to a spa I was more than a little nervous, but boy did I Love It! I then went on to take my bridesmaids there two days before the wedding, and then my hubby the day after our wedding (right before we left for the honeymoon)! My husband loved it too, and what a beautiful way to start out a lifetime together and de-stress from the big day. Since then, I have moved to the high desert and tried going to several other spas along my travels (all of whicht are a lot pricier with service that doesn't compare), but never found anything quite like DuBunne. Whenever I just need to get away from the daily stress, spend some romantic time with the hubby, or catch up with the girls back home, I make a quick getaway to DuBunne! Pros: excellent service, never overbooked Cons: I no longer live as close to it as I did! more

a great experience 7/17/2007

DuBunne is a great experience all around. The spa is staffed by polite and knowledgeable staff. It is always well kept. Their skin care staff is great. You are truly pampered when you arrive for facials and massages. It is a place for both men and women to be comfortable. It is a treasure in Torrance. You've got to go! Pros: quality, value, ambiance Cons: it can get busy, so book ahead more

best facials in southbay!!!! 7/17/2007

My best friend and I go to DuBunne once a month for a facial and to catch up on girl time. The facials are awesome and affordable. Everytime I arrive my face feels dirty and clogged, after the facial I feel like a new person. I look forward to it every month. The shower's are awesome and they provide everything for you. All you have to do is show up. I dont know what I would do without DuBunne's!! Thanks DuBunne!!! Pros: showers are clean, free jacuzzi, the atmosphere is great Cons: absolutely nothing more

Paradise with a personal touch! 7/17/2007

If you need an escape to paradise, or just need to shake off the dust and stress from life, you MUST go to DuBunne Day Spa in Torrance! I've been a 'spa-addict' for many years, and have been pampered all over the U.S., but DuBunne is beyond compare - not just because they've created a beautiful and tranquil environment, not just because the massage showers are so wonderful you hate to get out, not just because they have a wonderful variety of treatments and packages, oh, and did I mention reasonable prices and ample parking? DuBunne is the best because their staff truly cares about their clients and about making each client's spa experience their best and most comfortable experience. As a client with special needs (recent breast cancer survivor), I commend the staff at DuBunne for their sensitivity, compassion, and extra care. DuBunne isn't one of those corporate out-of-a-box spas - it's different. DuBunne gift cards are my FAVORITE gifts (for me, especially)! If you truly want to be pampered and treated like you're THE MOST IMPORTANT customer, choose DuBunne for your relaxation destination. I'd go every week (especially for the Swedish and LaStone massages), but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to wipe the smile off of my face! Enjoy! Pros: Personal attention, atmosphere, choice of services Cons: They aren't open 24 hours per day! more

Dubunne "My Savior" 7/17/2007

I have had the wonderful pleasure of Dubunne's service for over 15 years. I have had facials, manicures, pedicures, wraps, massages and waxing done; with exceptional service and satisfaction. There was a time that I was ill and needed a massage atleast once a week. The friendly and wonderful staff always tried to accomadate my special needs. Just mentioning there wonderful service is not enough. The establishment itself is AMAZING. You walk in the back to what seems like a rainforest. It is decorated with prints, bamboo colors and rainforest greens that are so relaxing and beautiful that you are certain that your whole experience is going to be breathtaking...and it is. The steamroom and showers are a girls dream come true. No need to bring any razor, hair product, or cream....they have it all. My favorite routine is to steam for 30 min before my massage, then use some of the pina colada scrub in the shower(which offers 3 settings for your enjoyment) and then while I wait for my massage therapist have a nice glass of orange juice, ice tea or wine. I am now ready for my massage! I usually go with an 80 min massage with a soak in the tub add-on. The jacuzzi tub satisfies my sore muscles and is so relaxing in a candle-lit room that you don't want to get out for your massage! Once out of the tub, I am escorted to a waiting area where my massage therapist retrieves me for my massage. I have tried 5 (men and women)different therapists and have been satisfied with them all. The best part other than the professionalism, quality, and comfort is if I want to make conversation I can and if I don't, I don't. The overall experince is a pleasure and very delightful! When I leave, the staff makes me feel like I own the place. Asking me a million times over if there is anything I need to make my experience better and of course there is not one thing I can think of! I love Dubunne and would be lost without it! Pros: Everything Cons: None more

Not for women only 7/17/2007

When you think of enjoying a day at the spa, you think of women gathering together to get away from daily duties of life, motherhood and marriage. Well, I have to change that stereotype. Although I was hesitant about DuBunne, I was told to try them out for an experience to remember. I was offered a day and so I thought I'd take advantage of it. I must say from the moment I walked in, I was treated so special. I was also surprised to see that they offered packages just for me, which was great! I settled on the 'Sports Enthusiasts Tub and Rub' which was awesome. It consisted of a muscle soak which I soaked in for quite some time and that alone was extremely relaxing but the best was yet to come. Afterwards, I was given a deep tissue massage that literally put me to sleep because of the GREAT job that was done. I actually felt as if I was in another country. The atmosphere is tranquil and soothing. The smell overtakes you and you become engrossed in the spa getaway. Finally, I was led to a room called the 'serenity room' which every man should have. To sit back and enjoy a fireplace, plasma tv and lounge back with a tropical drink was the perfect ending to a spa excursion that above and beyond anything I expected. My treatment lasted just under two hours which I thought was fantastic and it was so difficult to leave that I decided to purchase candles, bath salts and a cd that DuBunne offers in an attempt to bring the spa home with me. Not quite the same but no worries because I will definitely return for another getaway. DuBunne has definitely gained a client for life and next time, I'll bring my buddies so we can have a "just for men" day. I will no longer assume that spas are only for women! Pros: Great Atmospere, Great Packages for Men and Women, Great Service, Clean, Tranquil Cons: none more

Wow! What a place to go for relaxtion. 7/17/2007

My husband gave me one of the best presents ever by sending me to DuBunne Spa. It was a special package that included a Rose Petal Bath and a full massage. I couldn't have asked for a better present. When I got there they catered to me right away. I was treated like a queen. While in the bath I received a neck, shoulder and scalp rub. After the bath I received one of the best massages I have ever had. My masssue knew just the right places to massage and with just the right touch, not to hard and not to light. When my family ask me what I want for birthdays and Christmas presents I always say massages because you can never get enough. Everyone should take advantage of their treatments there you can't go wrong with anything they offer. I enjoyed myself immensly and can't wait to go back again. Pros: Very relaxing atmosphere Cons: parking is limited, but there is always parking on the street more
