Dubunne Day Spa

I have come to DuBunne many times and everytime is just as wonderful as the first. I have also been to different spa's in the Southbay and around the World, none of them compare to the warmness DuBunne brings. The services are wonderful but the level of customer service this spa provides is extraordinary!! Those girls really enjoy what their jobs, it show's in the energy they express..you just can't fake that. If you've never been to DuBunne, believe me its worth every penny. If you've been to DuBunne and maybe not had quite the wonderful experience, you should give it another try. Everybody is due a off day, however, I'm not sure that happens at DuBunne!! I had a bath treatment and somehow they didn't book it correctly. So I decided not the have the bath treatment to make it eaiser for them. They massaged me and my friend in the couple's room and the bathtub was so disgusting! It had a dark, black ring around it. My friend and I almost threw up! I mean, clean it up before allowing us to go in! It was not clean! more

I've been visiting DuBunne for over a decade now. Every year they keep getting better and better by expanding and adding services. The moment I step into the spa I already feel relaxed and soothed. The lobby area is inviting and quiet in anticipation of your service. The staff are all incredibly nice and want to make your visit memorable. I've tried almost every service they offer and the one that I most highly recommend is the Dubunne Spa Massage. Just thinking about it puts me in a better mood. I have tried other day spas over the years, but I keep coming back to DuBunne. It cannot be beat. The only reason why this spa has more than 100 reviews with 5 stars is because they had a contest! Whoever had the best review would win a prize! I been there a few times and the spa use and services are average! Just like any other spa! One time my appointment was late and they booked the wrong services for me! I don't understand what the exaggeration of the "dream spa" about it is all about! more

I WENT TO GET A MASSAGE A MONTH AGO, AND WHEN I WAS LAYING ON THE BED, I SAW TWO BIG INSECTS ON THE TABLE!!! IT WAS NASTY! I INFORMED THE MASSAGE THERAPIST AND SHE SAID THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT! I go to this Spa to get waxing every 4 weeks and the Front Desk Girls are terrible! They always have something to complain about and they don't act professional most of the time! I sit out at the front waiting for my appointment and the girls talk about unproper things and their behavior is not lady-like at all! I hear them complain about clients and their own boss. After they get off the phone with a client, they complain and use unproper language even though they see me sitting there! When clients come in to check in for their appointment, the girls don't acknowledge them at all! They all are in their own conversations and has to finished it before they help the clients. I know this place has been open for a long time and it's sad to see that the front desk girls are that awful! They need to teach them some class before putting them out there! As a Dubunne club member I was recently invited to attend an event called "Some Enchanted Evening." I called and made a reservation for myself and two guests. The event was to include complimentary skin analysis by SkinCeuticals, complimentary makeup application by Colorescience, while enjoying complimentary wine from WineStyles and receving neck/shoulder massages, paraffin hand treatments, and free product giveaways. When I arrived at my designated appointment time the spa was packed and there was no parking. When we finally found a parking spot we went to sign in for what i thought was a reservation. Instead I was handed a small business card for me and my two guests and pointed in a direction without any information on what to do. As we tried to make our way through the spa there were lines of people all over. We finally found our way outside where there was some food and drinks. The wine provided was a BOXED wine that hadn't even been chilled. We made our way back inside and discovered we had to wait in line for all the things I thought I had RSVP'd for. The lines were at least 15 people long and you could barely move through crowd. We found our way over to the massage line where a girl was receiving either a paraffin hand treatment or massage while standing up! I don't know how that's at all comfortable. We decided it wasn't worth our time to stay and I was horrified that I had brought my friends to what I thought was supposed to be a relaxing evening. I will NEVER go to another event at Dubunne and will probably starting going to Burke Williams nearby for my massages and facials. I don't think I'll ever be able to view Dubunne as a relaxing place after that awful night. Pros: used to be a great spa Cons: HORRIBLE EVENTS!!!! more

Ever heard of the saying - CALGON TAKE ME AWAY! - as a way of escaping your troubles and stress. Well, try DU BUNNE SPA WHISK ME AWAY! and float away into a land by the beach and ocean where stress washes away and the tide leaves you by the beach with absolutely no care in this world. Once you experience the senerity room, no matter what service you get, you would find your escape from reality zone. Thats what I found and I keep going back to get back my sanity! I've been a fan of Dubunne for over 8 years. I have never been disappointed. Upon my last visit I was pregnant with twins, wide as all outside, and my lower body swelled with enough fluid to fill any ocean. . The staff and atmosphere at Dubunne be beat. It didn't matter that I wasn't receiving a massage or a facial. I still was treated as if I was getting a mega treatment. After I left, I stopped to pick up a few things and my legs and feet were still tingling. It felt like a bunch of tiny bubbles still hard at work messaging my legs and feet. I couldn't wait to get home and book my next pedicure. It was invaluable to someone who couldn't reach their feet. more

My boyfriend and I went here for a birthday/Valentine's day date and we had a great time. We got the Champagne & Roses for Two which was a perfect amount of pampering for both of us. We enjoyed the bath for two and then were very relaxed for our massages. After that, we enjoyed the outside jacuzzi as the sun was going down. Through out our entire day, the staff was very courteous to us and kept our champagne cups filled!! All of the amenities at Dubonne are there to help you relax and we utilized all of them to the fullest (complimentary drinks, Swiss showers, serenity rooms, etc). I was even surprised to hear that the Men's room had beer on ice for them! I would highly recommend Dubonne to anyone wishing to enjoy a relaxing outing by themselves or with someone special! This spa pays close attention to details. Their staff is professional, facilities are clean, choice of treatments are many. I have gone many times and tried most of the services. I've been to Dubunne's several times, and each time, it was extremely pleasant and gratifying. The people there are friendly and professional. The interior is very relaxing with comfy chairs, soothing sounds, water, tea and fruit to enjoy. I booked a "couples" massage with my husband as a surprise. He especially liked the privacy outside at the jacuzzi (covered in rose petals) and the refreshing drink provided. Attention, Attention anyone seeking a tropical paradise, an oasis or peaceful hideaway Dubunne Spa is the place for you!!! My first time at Dubunne was on Valentine's Day, my husband purchased a special they were having for the holiday. It consisted of a rose petal bath, a massage, and butter cream wrap...yum right? From the minute I arrived they went above and beyond customer satisfaction. I was greeted with warming smiles as soon as I walked in and was handed non-stop tea, champagne, coffee, even chocolate dipped strawberries!!! The atmosphere is one you'll never forget. The soothing, sentual music in the background while your having a massage and/or bath make you close your eyes and drift off into a faraway paradise. And when you are done they have a serenity room if you would like to stay and just relax or a sauna to lounge in, showers are even available with all types of tropical scrubs that make you want to eat them instead because they smell so good...pina colada, strawberry, kiwi...mmm. And they have all the necessities of your own bathroom, blowdryer and all, the robe and comfy slippers they give you to wear is a nice touch too. My first time experience there is one i'll always remember and that is why I continue to back time after time. And with the daily and seasonal specials they have I can't wait until I have tried them all. This place is by far the nicest spa I've been to and I live in Pasadena--I will make a trip down to Torrance for a Dubunne experience, anytime. Pricey? Yes, but it's absolutely worth it! Dubunne has very professional staff that is there to pamper YOU. First when you arrive you are given a locker, the most comfortable sandels and robe EVER (and a terry cloth cover-up underneath for privacy if you choose). Then you are free to chill out, take a shower, go in the private steam room, have a piece of fruit, eat a granola bar or order up a mimosa if that is your flavor. The staff constantly comes around and asks if there is anything you want but they do know when to just leave you be (like when you are in the serenity room). There are co-ed lounges, a female serenity room (where you just kick back in a lazy-boy and watch a DVD of the ocean waves) and a male serenity room---which I image is the same but I haven't been in there. All the rooms, for the exception of the manicure room, is private. Everything is relatively quiet (ok the manicure room was a bit noisy but that's because of where it's situated), smells good, and has serene music in the background. When you are at Dubunne you truely feel welcomed, there is no rush after your treatments to get out. Plus, there is no pressure to buy their products, they recommend them but they don't push it. Ladies, if you come in for their Queen for a Day package you are going to come out feeling like a million bucks! I highly recommend Dubunne for any woman (or man) if you want to get away the daily stresses and just relax. There are couples packages as well too so this place isn't just for the singles crowd. And if you really want a quiet get away I suggest that you come on a weekday--Sunday is probably their busiest day. Pros: Everything! Cons: How can there be a con? :) more

My favorite package is Queen for a Day which included a Eucalyptus body scrub, a full body massage, a facial, pedicure, lunch and plenty of pampering. When I am in the need for a little break from life, I know just where to go. After a few hours at Dubunne's you feel like you have been on vacation for a week. I leave there feeling refreshed and relaxed. Constant pampering, friendly staff as well as a clean and relaxing environment is what I always find. Best spa in the South Bay hands down!!
