I was nervous about having a new serviceman but I couldn't have been more pleased with Mr. Lee. He took photos of my attic ductwork and pointed out what needs to be done to make both the heating and cooling system work much more efficiently when I am ready to have the work done. I feel fortunate to have Drain & Air Rescue perform these twice/year checkups and hope Mr. Lee stays with your company for a long time. more

DAR not only came in on time but under budget! He was very neat and kind, and even checked and cleared all the other drains in the house while he was here (on a Sunday!) I will highly reccomend this company to all my friends and neighbors! more

I have been using Air Rescue for the past two years and I just added the drain rescue portion to my membership. The folks that they send out are ALWAYS professional and knowledgeable. The guy who came out to do the plumbing service was very experienced and went above and beyond and did a simple easy repair on my kitchen faucet - something that I've been trying to get my husband to do for almost a year now. I really have peace of mind because i have this service - it is like getting oil changes on your car with these folks - to have this service is pretty much a no brainer. more

I have used Drain and Air Rescue for years. They have always been good and I have yet to find a service person that wasn't great. Jim Plamer is one of those. In addition, THEY ARE ON TIME. That is rare these days! more

I have a story to share about carbon monoxide detectors. I was in Target, in Houston, many years ago and found myself in the aisle where carbon monoxide detectors were kept. I passed by, because my home was all-electric. A few minutes later, I found myself wandering back to the same aisle, looking at the carbon monoxide detectors. I passed by, again. After several such passes, I finally decided to buy a detector for my Mother, who had a gas home furnace. When I got home, I was strangely anxious to get the detector to her ASAP. I went to the post office and mailed it to her that day. I called her and told her it was coming and that she should plug it in immediately. She received the detector, plugged it in, and THAT NIGHT it went off as she was sleeping. She had had her roof replaced a couple of days before I mailed the detector to her, and the workers had sealed off the attic vents from her gas furnace and water heater--unknown to her, carbon monoxide had been building up in her attic. That night, it made its way into the hallway outside her bedroom door, where she had plugged in the detector. Had I not bought the detector, sent it to her immediately, and had she not installed it right away, that night would have been her last night on Earth. Sergio spent time evaluating the situation. Had clear answers re heating, air-conditioning, and guardian air unit. He gave me confidence that he would do a great job. He was not seeking to do more than was necessary thus keeping the cost down unlike the next company who came to evaluate the situation. more

Have been with DAAR since September 2009. After an intial diagnostic exam they recommended their maintenance plan to avoid future problems. Sounded good so we did it. The many technicians that have been out all seemed knowledgeable about what they were doing and all very very professional. I am becoming agitated with them because each time they visit a "different" technician arrives and performs what he is supposed to perform (I guess). Each one will comment on what the other tech did or didn't do. In Dec 2009 we had no heat and a tech came out. We had a dirty flame sensor. Well I would have expected that they would have checked that two months earlier when they did the fall tune-up. I called the company and told them how I felt. We were still charged $60. (what happened to preventive maintenance, which was the purpose of the "plan"). In Mar 2010, another tune-up. This time they found a small leak in the condenser coil. Over $4,000 later we had a new condenser sitting in the yard. Sep 2010 was an Energy Audit. Made recommendations to bring the gas line piping up to code. We chose not to do it at the time. Now Nov 2010 we had the fall tune-up. Another problem! We had a gas leak around the R8 valve. The tech could NOT SHUT THE GAS OFF BECAUSE THE VALVE WAS SO RUSTED. No one said anything about this valve prior to today! Also had to replace a capacitor which was said to not be working properly. This same capacitor was tested in Oct 2009 and was said to be o.k. I was told that this capacitor, if not replaced, could cause the motor to seize ($800) as opposed to $179 for the capacitor. I am also interested in how they figure the charge for the parts. One tech charges one amount and another tech tells you a different amount. Isn't there a standard price list for parts? Each time they come out to do their maintenance check it costs us hundreds of dollars. Maybe we should just cancel the plan and pay for the repairs that happen because their preventive maintenance hasn't helped us with our furnace problems. It's only cost us money every three months plus the cost of repairs. more

I've owned 12 homes and Drain and Air Rescue gave me the most thorough air conditioning/heating review I've ever had. Repairs were made and all my questions were answered. I am very pleased with the cost and professionalism of the visit. I feel my home is receiving very good care: preventative and actual repair. more

I made a call after seeing their funny commercial and was surprised to hear them answer the phone after 800. The rep on the phone was very polite and even offered to send the plumber out right then but I was wanting service on Saturday. They showed up and just did a wonderful job and explained it all to me.I could not of expected such wonderful service from the time I called, till he pulled away from my house they did a great job. I used austinairrescue team for the first time and was very pleased and happy with the excellent support I recieved to get rid of the routine drain clog issue on my AC. All the three Technicians worked on this problem Angel, Joshua and Lucas were very helpful.I used ARS service before and was very tired of the bad customer service. 3 companies have worked on this issue in past 5 yrs, but nobody recommended a permanent solution. Austinairrescue team offered me three option based on my budget. Solution offered was a permanent fix, worked in the assigned time and were on time. I am very happy. The team made sure that job was well done as per customer satisfication. They are going to be my prefered company for any AC or plumbing issues. Your service at my home in the last two weeks was really excellent. The five jobs that were completed ( fix a leak in the A.C., fix a leak in a pipe in the wall, install automatic overflow warning, install new sink, and install new toilet) were done in a very professional manner. All of the techs were polite, and very good workers. Ray was here once, Angel once and Tyler 3 times. They were all excellent representatives for your company. Thank you for your services. more

I will never call or use this company again. I could not believe the service that I recieved (NONE AT ALL) called in to recieve and estimate on a part for my AC. Diane answered the phone she was so rude. First of all she quoted an crazy price for a service fee when their websites states FREE ESTIMATES then she began to question me on what it is what I needed. I have never felt so unimportant to a company. I will never call this company for an estimate again. They need some serious help when it comes to answering the phones or they wont have any customers left. more

My A/C was leaking through my office roof at the church I work at. All of a sudden I had water dripping on my head. I decided to use Drain and Air Rescue because my mom works there. The church gave them a call. Besides fixing the leak, Drain and Air fixed a thermostat, replaced a urinal in the men's room, and unclogged a sink. They also fixed the A/C in the sanctuary. Everything is working fine now. We are probably going to have them put in a new A/C unit in our classrooms when we get approval. more

This was the first time I used Drain and Air Rescue. I have 3 different condo units, and they serviced them all. We had been using other companies prior to this, but we had issues. We were looking for someone else who could do work without issues. Drain and Air Rescue did a much better job than the other companies had been doing. They did AC repair for me. In the past 2 months, we've had our A/C quit AND had problems arise with the function of our toilets. Based on other positive reviews here on Citysearch, i tried Drain & Air Rescue, and was very pleased with both repairs. Both techs were courteous, neat, showed up on-time, and took time to explain everything. It was plainly apparent that this company emphasizes trains their technicians in these matters. The repair work itself was thorough and effective. The a/c was a simple, straightforward electrical problem, but the tech looked for other problems that could've contributed. The toilet issue was more complicated, and took some degree of exploration and problem solving - Tyler did a great job analyzing the problems we reported, and then did a thorough repair. So far everything is working great. Overall, I'm very pleased. I'd recommend them to anyone. more

5:30pm on a sultry 100 degree Sun night in August and my air conditioning goes bust. Everyone I called was booked til midnight. In tears I tried one more number. Henry was able to get Domingo out to my house within 20 minutes and my air conditioning was fixed 15 min later. Plus he took the time to explain all the options and potential issues with my aging system. Thank you, thank you, thank you. more

I called over a dozen different plumbers to price out a drain line video inspection and Austin Drain and Air Rescue had the best price by far. So I scheduled an appointment with Diane for someone to come out and do a video inspection and then spoke to Henry, who told me Devin would be out on Friday @ 10:00 am to do the inspection. Devin showed up exactly on time and ready to go. He scoped the line from the first cleanout and then backwards from the rear cleanout, very thorough and professional. Devin explained the best way to combat the problem I had which was a seperated pipe under my slab. And then gave me a free estimate of the total cost to repair it. I can't thank Austin Drain and Air rescue for giving me the knowledge concerning my drain lines necessary to make a decision based on hard facts not just guesses like most places. more
