Dr. Fix It has done several projects for me from large to small and they have always been very professional and have done great work.
In this case, I had a sprinkler shut-off valve that I wanted replaced and relocated, plus I knew I had a water pressure reduction valve that didn't work (house water pressure was 88 to 92 psi) and I'd been putting off replacing. In the process of replacing the PRV, we found that the master gate valve (first valve as water enters the house) wouldn't completely shut off water. In order to replace that, we had to shut off water at the street. Adam and Jeremí dug up the street valve, replaced the master valve and the PRV, adjusted the position of my meter, and then replaced and relocated the sprinkler valve.
While they were here, they helped me replace my whole-house water filter. After all that, we checked water pressure and confirmed the sprinklers worked normally (they did).
These guys were courteous and helpful. For example, we had about three different options for relocating the sprinkler valve and they helped me trace water lines behind finished walls and ceilings to help decide what to do. They did the work in about 2 to 2.5 hours and that included about half an hour waiting for the city to show up with a valve key. They were very clear and up front about their pricing. In this case I got a 15% discount because I am a member of their Apple-a-Day maintenance program.
I would recommend Dr. Fix It to anyone.
