Worst

I can eat a cheeseburger at almost any meal, but sometimes I want my Dad's backyard best. I want the thick, juicy, flame-grilled taste with all the fixins. I don't go to Dick's ...

Move over McKie D's! 2/24/2010

CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP! GOOD GOOD GOOD! The burgers taste like they're homemade! They're firm and griddled well, not like the pasty commercial patties you get at drive thru's. Fries are soft, but tasty, and don't think about sharing - you'll regret it! Seating is always available - in your car! Otherwise, it's standing room only in the great concrete outdoors. Pros: cheap. yummy. 'nuff said. Cons: didn't see any law breakers... more

Greatest salty fries from fresh potatoes and the ice cream is to die for! The new website has lots of old photos and stories which makes it a trip to the 50's without leaving your chair. It's just fun. Pros: fun, nostalgic Cons: want more memories more

Eat there 9/15/2008

The Deluxe is the best burger for the money in Seattle. Emphasis; for the money. So good and cheap! Don't forget to get a molkshake too. the only downside is that it's standing room only, outdoors at that. Pros: the best CHEAP burger in Seattle Cons: no place to sit more

Flown to seattle just to eat here 1/21/2008

Working for an airline has one excellent perk, flying. I've flown numerous times to seattle to eat there specifically the broadway location. 2 cheeseburgers and a vanilla milkshake.. Making me drool just thinking about it! Pros: Burgers and fries what else would ya want? Cons: no tables more

Yummmmmmy!! 1/8/2007

So good after a drunken night of fun. But also good for a silly little date, walking about the avenue. Definitely get the onions. Sooooo good!! Pros: cheap, good Cons: cheap, good more

cheap 11/18/2006

I don't particularly care for Dick's, but everyone I know seems to love it. I prefer to pick my toppings, but you can't customize one of their burgers. That is probably why it is so cheap. It is quick and kids love it. Pros: cheap Cons: not made to order more

FAST CHEAP and Bring the Handiwipes 10/29/2006

A great place to grab food on go if your looking for burger fries and a drink. Do bring your handi wipes though, greasy burger and fries are the norm in a brown dripping bag. If your looking for choices in the menu though dont bother stopping. There is no dine in but there are tables outside during decent weather. Like I said, for Fast Cheap Burger Joint its a great place to grab and go. Pros: Cheap eats Cons: Way too much grease and you cant special order your burgers, limited menu more

Richard's has good food and good service. 9/17/2006

I have always enjoyed going to this establishment...One of my largest regrets about moving away from Seattle is that I miss their food. Those of you who think that the food is bad, I respect your opinion, but I really disagree. As far as fast food goes, Richard's (can't use the real name..won't let me) knocks McDonalds, Wendy's, BK, etc. out of the water. more

Real burgers and fries 9/11/2006

Okay, I used to live in Seattle and for nearly 30 years i went to this fave burger shop whenever I could. The burgers are like the burgers I had as a kid...REAL. Greasy. Stick to your ribs stuff, not these designer burgers that the annoying health conscious people think they need. The prices have always been low here, the I have never been disappointed. Cheeseburger, fires, chcolate shake and I am in heaven. Nostalgia? Of course! Who needs a $7.00 designer burger (or anything else from California)??? This is a Seattle place. With all the changes, it is still there, orange and low-tech, completely non-trendy. This is the real stuff! Too bad the censoring thingie won't let me type the name of it!!! Pros: Cheeseburgers, Deluxe, fries Cons: okay admittedly the clientele is questionable... more

Dicks is the best. 7/11/2006

If you don't like it, PLEASE go back to California, eat at In and Out, Fatburgers, whatever. And take your pollution, and developers, with you. I'm not in the least bit nostalgic for Dicks - have lived here all my life and have no reason to be nostalgic. I've tried the places in California, and frankly you can keep them there. Pros: The best burgers (deluxe, add onions), REAL fries (In and OUt's taste like processed) Cons: There should be more locations, all over the Puget Sound area more

Low quality fast food 3/19/2006

Im not from California and i still think Dicks is vastly overrated. I just cant equate Dicks to good fast food. I'll take a Burgermaster over this place Pros: Nostalgia, not much else Cons: not an in n out more

Too much Hype....Nasty food 3/1/2006

I just went to Dicks after 2 yrs and the burger was nasty!! nothing like i remembered it...the burger I got was cold and hard dispite the 10 min wait in line....the least they could do is make it fresh. Went to California in the winter and I have to say...the burgers from In-N-Out are no comparison!! If I am ever in the area again, I would rather go to the Jack in the Box across the street...at least they will guarantee my food to be warm. Pros: milkshakes Cons: pre-made burgers, not worth the money more

How can so many people be so wrong? 12/7/2005

I understand every gets nostalgic for the burger place they grew up with, but come on! Hasn't anyone travelled outside of Seattle and had a decent burger? Everyone who thinks Dick's is the best should take a road trip down to California and try In 'N Out. I promise you you won't think so highly of your beloved Dick's after that. more

Dick's 11/27/2005

Dick's is just average, nothing great. The fries are so greasy and soggy tha couldn't eat them. There are other places in Seattle that have much better fast food. Pros: cheap Cons: fries more

Nasty Burgers 10/25/2005

Having grown up in LA, having eaten Tommy's and In-N-Out burgers all my life... I couldn't wait until the next time I was in Seattle to try a Dicks cheeseburger and fries. I should have read the reviews and figured out that everyone here who left a positive posts was due to nostalgia, not because it actually tasted good. In all honesty, their cheeseburger was the nastiest I had ever eaten, no better than the 7-11 burgers. Who the hell puts tartar sauce on a burger, tartar sauce goes with fish nicely, but not on a super thin pattied burger with lousy tasting cheese and a greasy bun. The fries were over rated as well, limp and oversalted so much that I was thirsty for the rest of the night. Too bad Seattle doesn't have In-N-Out so they could taste what good tasting burgers are suppose to taste like Pros: cheap, fast Cons: nasty food, teen hangout more

It Must Be Nostalgia Because Dick's Has.... 9/8/2005

....Maybe the worst burger I've ever eaten........EVER!!! I don't understand the high ratings. If it's late at night, and you've had too much too drink, and no safe mode of transportation to get to anywhere else, and Dick's is in walking distance, and you don't mind eating sub-par food....then go to Dick's. If you are from California, and a frequent diner at In and Out........AVOID DICK'S LIKE THE PLAGUE. Everything about the burger tasted too sweet--as if too much sugar was added to every recipe from the buns to the condiments; it was way too chewy, it's was just slopped together with what seemed like an entire jar of mayo. I don't remeber my burger having onions. You can get a better burger with fresher ingredients, AND onions for a few nickles more by ordering a Jumbo Jack from JITB across the street. Pros: cheap Cons: horrible food more

Oh, how I love me some Dicks! 3/2/2005

If you aren't afraid of a little (or a lot of) grease, their fries are some of the best in Seattle. Also, their Dick's Special Hamburger is cheap and tasty - their special sauce is so good! It's hard to stop their, though, when they have really good shakes in a variety of flavors for only $1.30 more. For fast American food they are much tastier than McDonald's, cheaper and you're supporting a local business that has demonstrated exceptional ethics throughout their history in the Seattle area. Even during the thirteen years that I was allegedly vegetarian, Dick's was one of those late night guilty pleasures that would break my dietary commitments. One hamburger never killed anything, right? Right? Ok, fine, besides a cow. Yum! Pros: Cheap, Local, Tasty Cons: No Dining Area, Greasy, Cash Only more
