good eats for cheap! 8/31/2006

I was in the mood for Happy Hour so a friend of mines and went Happy Hour Hopping and there was a sign in front of Del Rey for happy hour went in, got to see the menu and ordered away.... its a really small place painted in black interior and there was only one waitress and one bartender but lots of customers mainly younger females...and older males....interesting i guess but the happy hour menu nonetheless was good, we ordered fish and chips, PBR on tap, chicken quesedillas, crab cakes...and it was all under $20 bucks plus tip...awesome while it wasnt the best food but for the price you just cant beat it. and the service even though it was only one waitress it was exceptional. more

Awesome Atmospere 8/17/2005

I recently came across this little bar in belltown last week and plan to go there many more times. Its an intimate space that has phenomenal energy to it. The drinks are a little pricey but its worth it. Everybody was having a great time and nobody was out of control. This wasn't a place full a frat boys and party girls. A nice lounge for adults to mingle and have fun. more

Editorial
  • The Scene
Originally a film storage facility for Paramount, this lounge exudes an appropriate '40s flair, with comfortable booths, a backlit bar, and a domed ceiling that glows a gentle red. Against the continuous ambient beats, a highly metrosexual clientele mingles with the help of martinis and more elaborate mixed drinks. On summery nights, this Belltown club overflows into the street where outdoor seating offers a clear view of the bay.

    The Food
At this swank establishment, drinks come first, but the food is a close second, from the clams in basil pesto and pilsner to the mini pork sandwiches. Even the deep-fried fare tastes consistently crisp and clean--especially the succulent fish-and-chips and calamari. While most specialty cocktails lean to the sweet, several here break from the pack, including the spicy red chile Sriracha bloody mary.
