I'm a easy-go-lucky kind of gal but I will never suggest anyone go here, EVER! The very worst shopping trip of my life. I'm the bride, I was trying on dresses, they gave me a dressing room that was half full of other peoples dresses and bras. The service gal kept leaving my door open when I was in my underwear, it was so horribly awkward and embarrassing. Another awkward part is the gal tried to stick me with buying a used and dirty bra! I had to ask for a clean one. My friend who was with me said the gal was giving her dirty looks for suggesting different dresses for me to try on. I can't believe how horrible it was. Their employee ruined my fun day of dress shopping. I bought my dress there, because I liked the dress, but I hated giving them my money. I suggest you shop at a different store, or order online. I still feel violated from my friends and strangers seeing me in my underwear MULTIPLE TIMES. I'd give them a 0 out of 10. I hope this post helps someone to have a better day than me, I'd hate for someone else's special day to be ruined like mine. I feel like I'm going to be bitter for awhile, and that's not like me. I wish I could go back in time and buy my dress some place else. more

Wonderful staff!! I feel all to much people only write a review when they have had a negative experience. I called today and made a appointment and they got me in immediately. When I arrived I was instantly greeted and then taken back. It has been a nightmare finding a dress I had a awful experience at the Beaverton davids bridal and was skeptical this one would be any different. I am SO glad went there anyways. Human resources if your reading this Shannon deserves a raise! She was so incredibly sweet and listened to everything I said about color, price, shape everything she treated me like a person and not commission check as a previous consultant at another store did. I went dress shopping alone and she was honest and went over pros and cons with me instead of just trying to sell me on the most expensive dress. I truly was so impressed with her incredible customer service she managed to get me 2 dresses that I like under budget that were the right size and would come in, in time for my wedding in less than an hour while 3 appointments at the other davids and probably 8 hours and I still left empty handed. I cannot thank you enough!!! more

don't waste your money 1/30/2011

I should have known to go elsewhere to get my wedding dress. I read the bad reviews, and chose to go anyways. My experience was bad. I felt like a number and the only time they seemed to care about me was the uncalled for numerous phone calls to ""make sure I had everything I needed (brides maid dresses, mother of the bride)"". I was impressed by the price of the dress, but if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. My horrible alterations cost double what they dress cost and the alteration person unfortunately could not speak much english. As I cried in my dress in my final fitting-she claimed I has lost an inch in the 2 weeks since I had seen her (holding the tape measure extremely taunt)-""see, she said, you lose weight"". I know how much I weigh and you would think that this would be an amazing thing for a bride to hear, but not when you are wearing a huge bag for your bridal dress. I was crying and she helped 4 other customers during our appointment time, leaving me standing in front of the mirror crying to the point I just wanted to take it off and leave. I did not want her to touch my dress ever again. The manager tried to help, but she was unable to do much. And after receiving sooooo many calls from them during the process (to buy more items from them), did they call me to see if they could help the situation?-no. DO NOT GO HERE, you will be a number and harassed on the phone. Every employee needs a lesson in customer service and how to conduct a business. Shame on you davids bridal clackamas more

If I could kiss 'em I would 8/12/2010

I just had the most wonderful experience at David's Bridal in Clackamas. I don't normally write reviews (in fact this is my first one), but the service I received tonight is commendable. I walked in (without an appointment, they were very accommodating) and the receptionist got me with my wedding consultant right away. She was a sweet young woman who helped me pick out everything. More importantly than her assistance in helping me pick out merchandise, she was genuinely interested about my event. She seemed almost as excited about the wedding as I was. I am not a Spring Chicken, but even this ""old goat"" was made to feel like a princess tonight. They were so respectful of everything, my age 52 , my size 20W and most importantly my budget very minimal. I walked out the door with dress and veil in hand, and a night full of great memories. Thank you so much for your help. I am going to be a gorgeous bride on my wedding day thanks to your help. more

UPSET 7/22/2010

Im not a review writer, but my experience changed that. OK so mysister bought her dress at davids bridal in SPokane so i thought that it my experince at the store in happy valley would be great. what a mistake. First we came in and the lady basically told us that we should leave because we dont have an appointment, and all the people are super bust, but i pleaded with her and she let us go in and try dresses. As we where stuck by ourselves chasing after sales people and assking for slips, i did not see one sales lady helping anybody, instead all i saw was sales people doing absolutlynothing sitting around and chatting on facebook. That didnt really bother me until i chose three dresses that i was trying to decide on and i asked the sales lady to write the numbers down so next time i come in i wont waste time looking for the dresses so she was like ok.she took a peice of paper wrote down the dress numbers on the wall, and as i was coming back i asked about the sale they where having, she didnt even know when their sale was ending!!! ok and thats not the worst part, she filled out the slip with the dress numbers and shes like ok you can go now, and i was like um well you didnt even ask me my name or address or anything and she stared at me and was like oh... here you can fill it out. i was mad aand was about to leave, when i turned around and the sales lady behind me was making a face at me. HOW UNPROFFECIONAL WOW. DO NOT GO THEIR AND WASTE YOURE TIME. The people where all like on crack something they where so lost, they did not know anything about their workplace or anything and im not even sure what they are getting payed for Pros: cute dresses, decent prices Cons: horrible service, more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced! 5/1/2009

I went to David's Bridal in Clackamas to look for my wedding dress and the sales person they put me with was pushy and uninterested in who I was and what I truly wanted. I didn't find the right dress until I went to Bridal Exclusives. I went back to David's Bridal to look at bridesmaid dresses hoping I would have more luck. There was only one other customer besides me in the store and tuns of sales people yet we still had to wait 20 minutes before they even helped us. I had a print out of the exact dresses I wanted to have my girls try on it showed pictures of the dresses and listed the style numbers below the pictures. The sales woman we were put with took the print out and said she would be right back the the dresses in the correct sizes. After a long while she came back with 2 of 4 dresses we asked for and then left again. My girls tried on those dresses and we sat there waiting for 15 minutes for her to come back with the other dresses when she came back she had no dresses with her so I asked her for the other 2 dresses and she seamed confused and went off with the print out to find them. Half an hour later she had still not come back and I couldn't find her in the store. My bridesmaids and I got sick of waiting and ended up just finding the dresses on the racks ourselves (which wasn't difficult). They tried on the dresses and then the sales woman FINALLY returned with two dresses that weren't even anywhere close to the two on the list I had given her. There were practically no other customers in the store so there is no excuse for her to take so long or to have gotten the dresses wrong! It was unbelievable! Her job is to help us find the dresses we want and be there if we have questions but she didn't do any of that!!!!! Every time I have visited this store for either myself or a friend the service has been terrible!!! Stay away! Go to Bridal Exclusives instead! Pros: Dessent prices Cons: Terrible customer service more

Got a beautiful dress! Saved money! 9/21/2008

I knew David's Bridal was one of those ""affordable chain store"" type places, and that they had a big selection, so I wanted to give it a try. I had a great experience at the Clackamas store. The staff were superstars... so helpful and patient. I walked in thinking I had a clear picture of THE dress for me... but then changed my mind to a different style midway through as I saw the dresses actually on me instead of on the hanger. (I didn't get any flak for changing my mind and they agreed that sometimes you have to see the dress ON to know if the style 'works' for you!) The salesgirl (Lauren) gave me honest opinions of which dresses looked good on me and which were not as flattering. She didn't seem to be trying to 'sell sell sell!' which actually sells better than a pushy salesperson. Another salesperson, Sharon, who rang up my items was equally nice and helpful. (I had made an appointment- which is I think required at least on busy days.) To have a positive experience- you need to go in with the right mindset: This is not an exclusive high-end salon that sells couture gowns, so you can't expect 100% individualized attention and being catered to exclusively... they are selling way more dresses to way more people than an expensive couture salon to have time to offer one-on-one service... but then again, you are not paying upwards of $1500 to $4000 or more for a gown here, and the dresses are not custom made to order- they are mass produced. That is the tradeoff. The most you can expect is to be treated nicely and courteously, and to have them bring you some dresses to try on, and I totally think you will get that if you are polite, not demanding, and not high-maintenance. The gowns I saw and tried on ranged from $399 to $1100. If a dress had a lace-up back, the salesgirl helped me, but if it had a simple zip back, I got into it myself. I got an awesome beautiful dress for $599, which was an excellent price for a bridal gown, and helpful friendly service. What a deal. Pros: Friendly helpful sales staff, lots of dresses, affordable Cons: Alterations expensive - find someone else or do it yourself more

Bad service, nothing special about any of the dresses 9/7/2008

I have been to a few different Bridal dress stores in the Beaverton area and thought I would try David's Bridal in Clackamas. When we arrived we were told they would have to find out who could help us try on dresses. When I asked why we were not assigned one person since we made an appointment, we were told they float between women who try on dresses. After waiting for awhile they found someone who could help us. I am truly disappointed with the service. Not one did the girl not ask what type of dress I was interested in but she would leave us for waiting for too long. After she helped me try on a dress she would rush to another girl. NOT once did she help me to the mirror and ask what I thought of the dresses! After 15-20 minutes of feeling like a neglected customer we left. If you are looking for great service, beautiful dresses, and a private room try Charolettes in beaverton. They have been one of the places with the best service. Cons: bad service, bad selection of dresses, overall bad experience. more

A sensor...?! 7/17/2008

I hate writing reviews period, but bad ones are just the worst. I'm sorry though...have to do it. I was recently in a wedding and we got our bridemaids dresses from David's Bridal on 82nd. We picked out a wonderful dress, very cute (but still can't ever wear again of course), black and simple. How can that get messed up right?! Let me tell you. We decided to get a sash to wrap around under the bust line to add a little color to a black dress. So we all got sized and ""ordered"" our dresses/sashes that day. We did recieve them in a timely manner and everything seemed to be going swell. Well, once we all got the ""as always"" needed alterations we were finally at our wedding day time to shine. Um...that was until one of our girls felt something in the dress. They left the sensor on the gown!!! Huh?! How does that happen...really?! So I had to proceed to CUT it out. Thankfully it was in the liner under the skirt, but still. How does a dress that is ""ordered"" and not ""off the floor"" have a sensor tag on it in the first place???? We had also decided to do away with the sashes because the ones that were ordered, in fact, did not work with the dress. Our bride went in to return them and she was told that she could only get a credit instead of putting it back on her card. Not helpful at this point. Another thing we noticed, again on the wedidng day, was that one of the dresses was not the same shade in the sunlight. My questions are, how does a sensor get on an ordered dress, why not give hassle free returns and why was a simple black dress made by the same designer (davids) and frabic be different in shade??? In the end...for me...I will NOT be going back to David's for any bridal needs in the future!!! more

The Wal-Mart of Bridal Salons 6/20/2008

My experience at David's Bridal in Clackamas was mediocre. The good: I arrived 45 minutes before closing and they were able to fit me in and let me try on dresses past their closing time. Pros: Mostly inexpensive, Decent selection, OK Service Cons: Pushy salespeople, Cheap quality more

Good times! 5/12/2008

Went into David's Bridal in Clackamas last week and I had an awesome time! The sales lady was super helpful, and she helped me find an awesome dress. I didn't want some cookie cutter, boring, same-old, same-old, run of the mill wedding gown. We found a sassy contemporary gown that will fit perfectly with my beach ceremony. I am psyched knowing that I am not going to look like everyother bride out there, and my sales lady knew that was important to me...she really worked hard to spice it up! The prices we excellent, and all of the staff was extremely helpful. If you haven't already, stop on by. Pros: The staff, the prices, the selection is huge...tons to choose from in tons of sizes. Nice webpage Cons: Not a lot of Flower Girl Dresses more

More than I imagined.... 3/23/2008

I can't begin to tell you how impressed I was with the service my daughter received last week at David's Bridal on 82nd Avenue. I was worried when my daughter surprised me by announcing her wedding would be taking place in less than a month, but the staff at David's made the process effortless. We went in for their $99 gown sale, not thinking they would have many to choose from, but I would say they had over 100 dresses. I couldn't believe the selection. Unfortunately she didn't find a gown at that price she loved, but she did find one for around $200, still very reasonable, and they even were able to order her a new one in time. The sales girl made her look so beautiful. The got her a crown, and a veil, and shoes that matched the dress perfectly. She is truly going to be quite the vision on her wedding day. Then we found the perfect bridesmaids dresses, which I didn't think would be possible, because her 3 bridesmaids are so different in size, but the dress flattered all the girls, and they too were very inexpensive. Everything was awesome, they even gave us coupons for other things she will need, like invitations and tuxedos. I can't say enough good things about the staff, they were wonderful....with 2 other daughters, I know exactly where we will go when it is there turn to get married. Pros: The staff, the prices, the extras (coupons, wedding discounts), thumbs up. Cons: Could use more parking. more

Unhelpful staff, horrible choices for plus sized gals 2/22/2008

I am a mature woman of 33 and wear a size 16. I had spent quite a bit of time looking at David's website and knew the dresses I wanted to try, but was open to exploring their suggestions. I went with 3 friends/bridesmaids, and was told to look through the racks, pick things to try out. I am busty and know that strapless is not the way for me to go, having seen brides in the past spend their reception tugging at the dress to keep it from falling down. My wedding site is a farm, and it will be in August, so a heavy bulky dress is not what I want. The 'womans' section was very limited, none of the dresses fit my desires. I pulled 2 dresses that had the lacy look I was going for, just to give the consultant an idea of what I was looking for, and told showed her 3 dresses on mannequins that I liked. She repeatedly had me try on dresses that were nothing like what I was looking for, then waited with the expectation that I would fall in love with one of them. She explained they had none of the ones in my size that I was interested in, and kept bringing the same type to me. She would give me no info on how I could try one of those. After the 6th dress that was all wrong, one of my friends pulled me out of there. I left feeling fat, ugly, undressable, wondering if there were any dresses out there that I would look and feel good in. I cried all the way home. I found my dress at another shop that is close by, where the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and actually listened to my wants. I'd heard horror stories about Davids, but was willing to gamble, hoping to find an inexpensive but flattering dress. I wouldn't wish that experience on any bride. Save your time and self esteem and look elsewhere. Pros: easy to use website Cons: unexperienced staff, poor listening skills, horrible selection in plus sizes more

Busy, but friendly! 1/17/2008

I went to the Clackamas store last Saturday. At first I was completely overwhelmed, there are just so many dresses and there were a lot of people. I was told I would have to wait 30-45 minutes before my consultant would be available, which at first bothered me a little, but that gave me time to look around. They have a lot of dresses in different sizes so you can try something on, no matter what size you wear. When I finally got back to my room, my consultant was great! Very friendly, even though she was working with another bride, I felt she was attentive and paid attention to the styles I was looking for. It's a great place for one stop shopping. I got my dress, veil, shoes, slip and bra for under $1000, so now I don't have to run all over town looking for the accesories! I went to a different boutique earlier, and though not as busy, the girls working there weren't nice and the dresses were WAY more expensive, with a lot less selection and nothing to try on in my size. Thanks David's! Pros: Lots of selection, great sales starr Cons: Busy on weekends! more

Nice dresses, service and pricing.... not so much 9/7/2007

I bought my dress at David's bridal and got a pretty decent deal on it. However, their alterations department and anything you need after purchase is awful. The alterations person would not schedule me, was extremely rude. Not only that, they said that taking up the hem would start at $200, which is stupid. So I found a lady to do that work and that only costed me $37. When I called for thier ""complementry pressing"" they told me that it would take at least 4 weeks AND that they would not do it if I got my alterations somewhere else. TIP: they try to get you to buy dresses in a wrong size so they can stick you at the alterations, do not fall for it. I was able to fit perfectly into my usual size. My advice, find somewhere else for a dress, they are not friendly. Not a happy bridal experience. Pros: Variety of dresses Cons: SERVICE more
