A sensor...?! 7/17/2008

I hate writing reviews period, but bad ones are just the worst. I'm sorry though...have to do it. I was recently in a wedding and we got our bridemaids dresses from David's Bridal on 82nd. We picked out a wonderful dress, very cute (but still can't ever wear again of course), black and simple. How can that get messed up right?! Let me tell you. We decided to get a sash to wrap around under the bust line to add a little color to a black dress. So we all got sized and ""ordered"" our dresses/sashes that day. We did recieve them in a timely manner and everything seemed to be going swell. Well, once we all got the ""as always"" needed alterations we were finally at our wedding day time to shine. Um...that was until one of our girls felt something in the dress. They left the sensor on the gown!!! Huh?! How does that happen...really?! So I had to proceed to CUT it out. Thankfully it was in the liner under the skirt, but still. How does a dress that is ""ordered"" and not ""off the floor"" have a sensor tag on it in the first place???? We had also decided to do away with the sashes because the ones that were ordered, in fact, did not work with the dress. Our bride went in to return them and she was told that she could only get a credit instead of putting it back on her card. Not helpful at this point. Another thing we noticed, again on the wedidng day, was that one of the dresses was not the same shade in the sunlight. My questions are, how does a sensor get on an ordered dress, why not give hassle free returns and why was a simple black dress made by the same designer (davids) and frabic be different in shade??? In the end...for me...I will NOT be going back to David's for any bridal needs in the future!!! more
