Don't go near Cowchip cookies... 3/26/2006

... unless you want to become addicted. Oh my gosh, these are the BEST chocolate chip cookies you'll find in Seattle. I guarantee it! You're very likely to receive a warm cookie when you go in, and they're huge. I'm so glad I don't work in Pioneer Square anymore... it only fueled my addiction! more

Cowchip: don't let the name fool you 3/3/2006

I've only had one in my life -- at a UW football game -- but it was definitely amazing. I immodestly think of myself as somewhat of a cookie connoisseur as well, so these five stars don't come easily. The chocolate was sweet and milky, and the dough was nice and soft. OK, that was a bit of a creepy description. But maybe that's fitting, given that the name of the place will conjure up unflattering images for anyone who has ever lived on a farm. Suffice to say that their cookies are really good, and that you won't be able to save the other half for later. more

Chocolate is GOOD 2/27/2006

There is nothing that Mrs. Fields or Mr. Spunkmeyer can do or so to get me to change my mind on Cow Chip Cookies. Nothing in the world is more ridiculously satisfying than a massive 12 inch wide beast of a cookie dripping warm chocolate down your wrist while you break into manageable morsels to feed your clan. What's better is Cow Chip offers so much more than just your regular Chocolate Chip cookie fare, they offer a large variety of cookie flavors and they range in size from tiny one inch pieces to unholy abominations of cookie that more resemble pies than they do cookies. Located on First Avenue in the heart of the Pioneer Square tourist triangle Cow Chip is a great place to stop at any time. Especially on the way down to a game at Qwest or Safeco. Try it once and you will be addicted, and as long as you don't end up on the corner shaking that cup in my face looking for change to get your next "Cow Fix" then this is one addiction you can live with more
