In fact, the last bartender that served us was, arguably, the best I've seen in LA - instead of dealing with a model wannabe, we actually got killer drinks - and that speaks well of the folks behind the Citizen Smith.
I live nearby, and most Cahuenga joints are slanted towards the obnoxious, weekend Orange County crowd. Citizen Smith, for all its flash, is quite the opposite. I hope it can maintain its friendly vibe under the club glare. Maybe not, but, for now, it's great.
