Cinelli's has ""distanced"" themselves from the former Vincent's in Cary (there's still a Vincent's on Capitol Blvd) - and there's good AND bad in that... while they've toned down...

amazing authentic italian 7/24/2007

Great variety of real italian food. Everything tastes homemade and wonderful. I reccomend the marinara sauce. The portion sizes are HUGE. You'll definitly have enough left over for lunch the next day. Pros: food!, little to no wait for table... more

amazing food 5/12/2007

I dined at Cinellis this past Sunday night, the food was amazing. I had chicken marsala, it was by far the best italian dish I have ever had and I eat Italian food on a daily basis because i myself am Italian. Pros: great food great service Cons: none more

awesome pizza and italian food! 11/5/2006

The food here was amazing, the pizza and pastas were great. The service was good even on a saturday night! I even got a free piece of cake on my birthday! Its a great place to go sit at the bar or have a romantic dinner. I highly recomend it! more

Not bad i enjoyed myself 10/31/2006

We just ordered a large NY style pizza. It was cheezy think and dense. The crust around the pizza was sorta thin but overall i liked it. It was not 100% ny style but I would say 85% there. Pros: Oregeno on the Table..first time I ahve ever seen that anywhere in NC Cons: Wait staff was slow and non attentive even at 4:30pm while it was dead. more

Best Pizza 10/10/2006

Don't mind the other reviews. Cinellis is by far the best pizza in Cary. I haven't had any pasta, but the SPECIALIZE IN PIZZA. I was dissapointed in the fact that management changed the menu. Pop's Pizza can only be served in a medium. The waiter said that some people would feed a party of 6 and get a large Pop's Pizza and cheat the system, if you will. Pros: Delicious pizza, excellent service. Cons: Might be a little slow, it's so busy! more

Amazing Italian In The Triangle 6/12/2006

If you haven't visited Cinelli's yet...get ready for authentic and really great Italian food. While the waitstaff is mostly teens and the atmosphere very casual, the food is outstanding! The Penne with Vodka Sauce is outstanding, as is the Shrimp Sorrentino. There's a Cinelli's in Durham too, but they don't have the full menu (sad, b/c the Durham location is about 5 mi. from me and I'd eat there 2 nights/week if I didn't have to drive to Cary). The pizza is great too. If you love Italian food, but aren't looking for the most romantic atmosphere, visit Cinelli's in Durham or Cary. more

so much food! 5/3/2006

You can't beat the portion sizes-one pasta entree usually ends up being not only dinner but tomorrows lunch too. more

best pizza this far south! 2/4/2006

We are a family of pizza buffs. Being from chicago we are used to excellence. This pizza definately has a unique taste with lots of flavor. The service is always great, and my children always have fun. Pros: service, taste Cons: price more

Loved It!!! 1/29/2006

It was my first time at Cinell's last night, and we had a great time. The service was excellent. I have two small children and the waitress went out of her way to be friendly and courteous. The food was excellent! We ordered a large white pizza with spinach, cheese pizza for my son, salad, and garlic twists. They also serve these wonderful yeast rolls with your meal. The rolls were great keeping the kids occupied (9 month old and 3 year old) before the pizza came. The whole bill was less than $25. more

Thank you! 12/26/2005

All I can say is thank you Cinelli's! I have been in the triangle for 3 years looking for passable NY style pizza and then someone reccomended Cinelli's to me. It's all history from there, I have found the place that makes my childhood memories come back to life. Your Grandma's pizza is exqusitely light, crispy, and flavorfull, what more can be said. All you others that find the food at Cinelli's ""hyped up"" and not worthwhile, I don't think you have any idea about what good Italian food is and you have no basis for even writing these reviews. more

great italian 10/22/2005

We moved to Cary from upstate NY last summer and have tried as many restaurants as possible in search of good NY style pizza. Cinelli's is by far the best. We even take our relatives here and they love it too. The only thing they need to add to their menu is chocolate cannolis. Then they will be absolutely perfect!! more

Just like back home 6/9/2005

I remember places like Cinelli's back in Queens and Brooklyn growing up. The food is oustanding - there is nothing on the menu that I have had that I would not recommend. The service is casual and always very friendly. We go there at least once or twice a month and we always run into friendly faces among the customers and staff. Be prepared to take part of your meal home - the serving sizes are huge. My top recommendations would be the Penne Rustico or the Tortellini Carbonara. Both are awesome. Pros: Food, Portion sizes, Friendly wait staff more

Disappointing at Best 4/13/2005

This is the 3rd time eating at this restaurant, each time progressively worse. The 2nd and 3rd times have been because it was a friend's birthday (who requested to try it) and the 3rd time was because they advertised internet connections (which wasn't true). The food was terrible, cold when should be warm, soup was burned tasting, told side salad was $2.50 and charged $3.00. Promised cannolis because of the problems - then another person said they wouldn't give them to us. Overall, terrible. I will tell everyone I know not to go to Cinelli's. Now I know why hardly anyone was in this restaurant at lunch time. more

Poor food and service in Cary 2/19/2005

Lasagna is almost like soup not upright. Onwers don't care and were not at all friendly. Cons: food quality, Owners don't care more

The best! 6/1/2004

I have been a regular at Cinelli's for several years and have found it to be a great Italian restaurant and Pizzaria. The owner, when present---he also owns Frankie & Dinos, can often be found chatting with customers when not too busy. When things are busy, he is out there cleaning tables to help the flow move smoothly. I have taken many New Yorkers and other Yankees there and they all could not believe how good the food was---often as good or better than back home! And contrary to a couple of negative reviews, I have always had a rare problem corrected to my satisfaction. Pros: Large portions, Great tasting food, Friendly staff more

cinellis 2/5/2004

WE LOVE CENELLIS! THE PASTA AND MEATBALLS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD ALONG WITH THERE PIZZA AND COLD ANTIPASTA! THERE TAKE OUT IS GREAT TOO! THERE EMPLOYEES ARE SUPER AND VERY FRIENDLY TOO.... LOVE THE 1957 CHEVY MURIEL AT THERE PICK UP WINDOW! Pros: EVERYTHING! more

Good pizza 9/5/2003

We just moced to the area and were looking for an italian place to eat. Cinellis Pizza seemed to be the place, we were greeted promptly to a bright table. The hostess was very nice. We ordered a New York style pizza, very delicious!! Our server was very rude, she talked on the cell phone while we were there! But everyone else was very friendly. As we were leaving even the cooking staff said have a good night! Pros: Great Pizza, friendly staff, good value Cons: server on cell phone? more

Just like family... 8/9/2003

Finally, a restaurant in the south that serves authentic Italian food AND makes you feel like one of the family! Hailing from Philadelphia, I know an Italian or 10, and this place gets it right. From the friendly staff, to good food, to an owner who will actually speak to you like a friend of the family, this place rounds all the bases! I recommend this place to ALL my friends, and take all my ""yankee"" visitors to visit as well. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Pros: Great Portioning, Inviting Staff, Great Service Cons: No Reservations more

It is the best pizza in NC!!! 8/8/2003

I've had Pizza in lots of big citys in the USA. I've also had pizza in quite a few Italian citys and this pizza is as close as it gets. My wife is Italian (born and lived in Italy untill 5 years ago) and she also thinks they make the best pizza she has had in the states. The pizza sauce is fresh and simple like it should be. The owner always makes a point to talk to us (in Italian) and the cannoli... MMMMM. What else do you need? Pros: pizza, cannoli, pizza more

Relocated Yankee finds GOOD Pizza! 8/3/2003

As a new resident in Cary, I have been on the search for an Italian restaurant that is casual, inexpensive & obviously has good food & nice pizza. The service was excellent, Brianna our server was friendly, knowledgable about the menu and a delight to have to deal with for the hour & 1/2 that we were there. We recommend Cinelli's highly for an Italian casual dining experience where the food & service are upper crust. Pros: Food, Service, Location more
