I took my four-year old daughter to Chocolati Greenwood a few weeks ago, and after getting sick to my stomach, I'll never return. After seating my daughter in the middle room, I looked up and saw, right above her head, a ""painting"" of blood-splattered characters holding blood splattered butcher knives, meat cleavers, and other weapons. As a parent, I was appalled to think of my daughter seeing this. As an adult and an artist, I was disgusted.\r \r I'd been going to Chocolati only because it's near my daughter's dance class. Every time, I've had basically mediocre and sometimes shoddy service: looooong wait times, even when there are multiple baristas and cashiers at work; bitter coffee; overpriced drinks (really, nearly $5 for a cup of green tea?); adult hot chocolate where the flavors collide but never merge, and the sludgy chocolate is bland; kids' hot chocolate too hot for kids; and chocolate milk that was mud-like. I had coupons for the place; my daughter liked the creaky, stained and thread-bare armchairs (they spin); it was convenient; and I thought it was a reasonable place to take a child, but no more. \r \r Chocolati Greenwood is inviting families into their store with a kid's menu, but they are indifferent to the atmosphere they're providing for children and families. It took a Herculean effort to contact the store's owner and the manager (lots and lots of emails and unreturned phone calls over a few weeks), but in the end, they said they liked the picture. What's next on their walls? Child pornography? Snuff flicks?\r more

Best hot chocolate in Seattle! 2/16/2010

I love the Dark Vaders (raspberry and chocolate), Turtles (Carmel and chocolate), and the Europas the staff are super nice and friendly. the decor is always wicked, and the seats super comfy even if you stay for hours they even have a heater in the bathroom so you can warm your butt while you pee ;) more

best chai ever! 3/5/2009

This place serves the best chai ever......creamy yummy delish. Their cookies are to die for...especially the peanut butter dipped in chocolate. YUM. But I'm not a fan of the dog they let run around. It kind of grosses me out! Pros: chai, chocolate, coffee cards, cookies. Cons: dog more

Chocolati Saves My Day 3/19/2007

I stop by the greenwood Chocolati to get a hot chocolate at least one morning a week, more often if I'm not running late for work! I love everything about this place! The chairs are comfortable, there is no place in Seattle like chocolati to get an amazing cup of cacao and relax. My favorite drink is the Chocolati House and the barista never minds adding cinnamon before she adds the hot milk.\r The service is great! It seems like everyone that works there is having a good time and they keep their sense of humor even during the times that I've seen it get busy.\r My husband wont go anywhere else for his mochas either!\r Hurray for Chocolati!!\r Wendy Pros: Great Drinks/ Great Staff/ Kid Friendly more
