I have been dining at Cavatore for a few years now. The food is always fresh. I usually order Caesar salad (made table side), and the Crawfish alla Rosa. I sometimes treat myself to their homemade tiramisu, which is delicious! The staff is always very attentive. I find it helpful that the wine menu provides a description of the wines. This way, I can try a new wine without taking too much of a risk.
I have noticed that many of you other Cavatore regulars are upset that Michelangelo left. This baffles me to be honest, as I found it quite a relief. He was as staged as his name ---""Michelangelo!"" He was loud, obnoxious, and had a glamour shot of himself at the entry. Every time we ate there, he would try to coax my children from their seats (to play maracas at an ITALIAN restaurant), while we were trying to enjoy a family dinner. My husband and I were apprehensive about dining here at times, because of this annoyance. However, the food and service really make the place worth it. I find it a relief to not be bothered now when I go to eat at Cavatore. The pianists they have now provide talent in place of Michelangelo's cheap, clownish performance.
I will continue to eat here with my family on a regular basis, as we all love Cavatore!
Honestly,
Me
