Rude, unpleasant staff! 7/1/2009

I visited their office on two different occasions and both times I was forced to interact with one of the rudest employees I've ever encountered. Surprisingly, I believe this person is their so-called receptionist. The guy didn't make eye contact, he mumbled his answers to my questions, and he seemed absolutely miserable sitting behind his desk. I recently moved to the neighborhood and was excited to find an optometrist down the street, but I was shocked to encounter such a sour-faced, unpleasant person during my first visit. I visited again a few days later hoping to interact with somebody else, but I had a very similar experience with the same guy. I've never met Brett, but he is doing himself a disservice by employing such lame people. In this job market, I'm sure he can find somebody better. I'll never go back. more

Rude employees 7/1/2009

The receptionist at Capitol Hill Vision was quite possibly one of the rudest, most unpleasant employees I've ever encountered. I visited their office on two different occasions and both times I was absolutely amazed by his bad attitude and rude customer service. I recently moved to the neighborhood and considered making this new my optometry office, but I'll never support a business that employees such unpleasant people. more

Friendly service 7/19/2008

I've been going to Capitol Hill Vision for a few years now for eye checkups and contacts. They have always had friendly and professional service. I've never bought glasses there, but they do seem to have a good selection. more

Best eye doctor in Seattle 9/25/2006

Brett is an INCREDIBLE eye doctor -- he addressed all of my problems and explained to me everything that he was doing. He is very friendly (although geeky and very cute) and I would recommend him to anyone. He has very high tech equipment and gave me a prescription that gave me much better vision than my former prescription, although I doubt that my eyesight changed. I was concerned about dry eyes and Brett gave me samples and a list of different products that might help me and explained why some products are better than others -- he obviously wasn't pushing one brand and only wanted to help. I highly recommend Capitol Hill Vision to anyone for eye exams or contact lenses. I didn't get glasses, but the selection of frames looked very high quality and not very expensive. more

Capitol Hill Vision 6/19/2006

Brett Llewellyn, OD used to be the practitioner at a dingy Sears optical department here in Seattle. I went to him in frustration because none of the doctors in the fancy medical towers could figure out my eyes. I have both astigmatism and far-sightedness. On the first try Brett got my glasses right and I have gone back to him ever since. 5 or 6 years ago he moved to the artsy neighborhood around on 15th Ave here in Seattle. The bright colors and cheerful staff he hired make visits there very pleasant. He has very fashionable (although a tad expensive) hardware that isn't exactly my taste but I'm sure would appeal to more image conscious folks. More than anything, Brett takes the time and has the latest high tech gear to accurately evaluate even the most vexing eye problems, like mine. I'll keep going to see him as long as I can! more

Very nice people! 8/10/2005

The counter staff are some of the friendliest folks you'll find in a glasses joint. They're there to help you find something in your price range that really looks fabulous on you, and aren't afraid to encourage you to try metal frames when you've been going plastic all these years. The optometrist is very, very geeky but clearly knows what he's doing. The best thing about the exam: there's no freaky spits of air onto your eyeball. He uses a new light-based technology so you don't feel a thing! more
