Unicorn Moving & Storage

From my first phone call, through multiple changes, and about 5 days Unicorn was never anything less than professional, courteous, pleasant, understanding, helpful, etc. That was the office. The movers that they assigned to my job were out of this world (if only you could have seen the 4500'+ house). They were always on time, they worked their tails off. I don't think they knew what a break was. The were professional, and courteous, and jumped at whatever we requested. We could not have been happier with our entire experience. more

The guys from Unicorn Moving knew what they were doing and did everything I asked. They were very polite and knowledgeable. We were recommended to Unicorn Moving through a friend who really liked them. I wasn't the one to go with them in the very beginning but Unicorn Moving was on time and took care of everything that we needed. We had some add-ons to take, but Unicorn Moving didn't seem to have a problems doing that. Prices were very competitive. We were surprised that the additions weren't as high as expected, which was really nice. They set everything up for us, like putting our bed posts together. It was an outstanding service. Unicorn Moving was so good that we'll definitely be using them in the future, and recommending them in the meantime! more

I was very happy with Unicorn Moving. I have used them twice in a matter of a month. Both times, the service was great. They did a great job! They were very friendly and very professional. Unicorn Moving did the work in a professional manner. Unicorn Moving offers either full service, uploading, or offloading packages.The job was out of town but I used their service for uploading, that is, loading all my things into a truck. I had decided to use Unicorn Moving again because I was so happy with them the first time. They're reasonably priced too. The first time, I had done an internet research and I happened to call them. From the time I made the call to get quotes until the time of the move, our experience with Unicorn was fantastic. Huey & Shaun who moved up were GREAT!. They got there, discussed the plan and within 2 hours we were at our new destination. This was with a 3 br 2 bath 1875 sq foot house. Nothing was damaged, they put everything as I directed and all with a smile. Huey and Shaun were the best movers we've ever worked with. We referred a friend who had just lost her husband and she was thrilled as well. Will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who is moving. First, the movers were 2 1/2 hours late. Then, of course, they were in a hurry so my move didn't go so well. Nice guys but I had lots of damages, both to the household goods and to the house. Boxes were marked but came off the truck mixed up so they were placed in the room denoted by the top box. Never heard back from Unicorn on my claim. I've moved 8 times and this isn't the worst but it's a close second to being the worst. more

We have used Unicorn twice since 2009 to move a relative. Both moves have been out of the Austin area. We have had great service both times. The last move was in early October. The movers left Austin and were in Dallas ready to pack up right on time. All went quickly and efficiently with loading even though we had a few extra boxes to add to the list. They got the new quote for us over the phone. Since we were moving items to a storage facility that had time restrictions we were concerned about travel time but there was no delay on the return trip and they quickly got everything stored for us. They even advised the best way to stack things to maximize the storage space more

After talking with a few moving companies and reading reviews I went with unicorn based off the number of great reviews they received. I have never hired movers before, but with my current job, do not have time to spend an entire weekend moving. I was concerned about costs so I set up the per item move so I could plan ahead. I called and spoke with Scott who was very friendly and professional. We set up everything and it was all planned out initially. The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating was because I called later that week and scheduled an additional stop with their receptionist. When I called the day before to confirm, she had not relayed the info about the second stop to Scott who was unaware of this change. I then had to re-set up everything for the additional stop, not an issue, just a minor annoyance. Scott was more than friendly during this process too. Moving day was great! The gentlemen who helped me move (Driver 750, Mover 860 - I forgot their names) were really great. They were very friendly and made me feel like my items were in good hands. I enjoyed working with them and actually wanted to buy them a beer afterwards. I tried to assist them at points (I can't stand to do nothing while others are working) and they would not let me even though I offered. Ultimately I appreciate that. They did a great job. They moved a piano, a few antiques, and furniture for me and did a great job, everything was in good condition and they really worked fast. Give these guys a try, they really did a great job for me. Pros: Friendly Staff, Cautious w/ furniture, Quick and Efficient! Cons: None come to mind more

The movers were on time to start, they finished our move in record time, and they took pains to make sure everything was right where we wanted it. The price was just what I was quoted - and it was a low price too! They came recommended highly to me - and I'll recommend them highly to you. It would be nice if the service from Unicorn was the same you get everywhere else. The movers showed up at the scheduled time. They confirmed exactly what needed moving. They worked efficiently and carefully. They caused no damage and no mess. They were polite and friendly the whole time. It was also obvious that these were experienced movers who knew all the tricks for getting large things through small spaces without damaging the property. Our movers did a fantastic job! They arrived two hours early and moved everything down three grueling flights of stairs very quickly. I received about 6 price quotes for our move and Unicorn was priced considerably under all of the other quotes. We even bought boxes from them for half the price you would normally spend and we received most of our money back from the boxes because of a special they had going at the time. I have used Unicorn Movers twice and they have delivered two flawless moves. They have moved me up and down stairs, finessed my giant couch through some tight spots, and hauled tons of books for me - all without a problem. This is the third time I have used Unicorn Movers and every time they have been courteous, honest and most importantly they are always on time. This time I had to coordinate between the the movers and the place we were moving our stuff. They showed up when they said they would and were professional and quick. I knew as soon as I talked to the people at Unicorn Movers that I had found the company to handle my move. Unicorn provides the service it promises at a reasonable cost, and in an efficient and expedient manner. I highly recommend this company. I have had to make two major moves in one year -- from Los Angeles to Bee Cave, and then from Bee Cave to South Austin. I was not familiar with any in-town movers, so I checked the Yellow Pages and began to research the movers online and by phone. The over-the-phone estimate was fair and accurate. The gentlemen who moved me were just that. . .""gentlemen"". . .and additionally, were strong, professional, timely, careful, and HONEST. When they found that I did not have as many boxes to move as I had originally listed, they actually credited me with the items I did not move. My furniture was delivered to my new apartment without any damage and the company followed up to see how I was doing. If a move can actually be ""pleasant,"" then Unicorn can offer that positive experience. more
