After talking with a few moving companies and reading reviews I went with unicorn based off the number of great reviews they received.
I have never hired movers before, but with my current job, do not have time to spend an entire weekend moving. I was concerned about costs so I set up the per item move so I could plan ahead.
I called and spoke with Scott who was very friendly and professional. We set up everything and it was all planned out initially. The only reason I did not give a 5-star rating was because I called later that week and scheduled an additional stop with their receptionist. When I called the day before to confirm, she had not relayed the info about the second stop to Scott who was unaware of this change. I then had to re-set up everything for the additional stop, not an issue, just a minor annoyance. Scott was more than friendly during this process too.
Moving day was great! The gentlemen who helped me move (Driver 750, Mover 860 - I forgot their names) were really great. They were very friendly and made me feel like my items were in good hands. I enjoyed working with them and actually wanted to buy them a beer afterwards. I tried to assist them at points (I can't stand to do nothing while others are working) and they would not let me even though I offered. Ultimately I appreciate that.
They did a great job. They moved a piano, a few antiques, and furniture for me and did a great job, everything was in good condition and they really worked fast.
Give these guys a try, they really did a great job for me.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Cautious w/ furniture, Quick and Efficient!
