Best Saag Paneer in LA 10/11/2007

This place is very tiny and modest looking. The atmosphere is kind of non existent. But I would highly recommend take-out. The place seems to be more suited to that anyway. he portions are huge and the quality is excellent. Whereas at many places Saag Paneer equals spinach ""mush,"" this place actually chops it up instead of liquifying it. Everything Ive ordered has been amazing. The service is very friendly, too. Pros: quality, service, prices, portions, lunch menu Cons: not a very nice dine-in atmosphere more

Incredible Takeout 2/1/2007

I've never had a bad dish here. It's run by a really sweet family, and they always remember me when I walk in, and they guess what I'm going to order.\r The Chicken Tikka Massala is my favorite thing on the menu, which means a lot coming from me because I'm a lover of hot & spciy food. Even though this dish is about as mild as they come, it's very flavorful and delicious. The vegetables of the day are always substantially portioned, and delicious. Incredible samosas...\r I place my food order, do my shopping next door at Trader Joes, and when I'm done, the food is always hot and ready to go (I'm a guy, so I shop quickly). And there's always enough left over for another meal...\r \r The Saag Paneer it great too...i've tried it at other places, and it's very greasy and gross, but not at Bombay Grill!\r \r The place itself isn't much to look at, and I'd probably never sit down and eat there, but it's a good, strong takeout winner.\r \r The only con depends on your persepctive. The menu is about as nuanced as a doorknob. They only offer a few dishes, but what they offer, they make very very very very very well. Pros: Great food, inexpensive, shop @ Traders while they cook it fresh! Cons: Barebones menu, but delicious nonetheless. more

Super friendly staff, Delicious and cheap 1/19/2007

The owners are a sweet Indian family. They have mastered the art of shrimp saag and vegetable samosas. Sure, it isn't the best place to sit and eat, but this is a to-go staple in West Hollywood. If you want delicious Indian without burning a whole in your pocket, head to Bombay! Pros: Vegetable samosas, Shrimp dishes, Price, Friendly staff Cons: The dining room more

There is nothing fancy about this bare-bones Indian restaurant. But that doesn't stop the food from tasting great and the family who owns it from being quite friendly and pleasant. They are a small restaurant and they cook the food as if you were sitting in their own kitchen. High-maintenance diners will surely be disappointed, but if you're looking for some real home-cooked Indian food, handed to you by those who cook it, there is much to enjoy about the Bombay Grill. more

Fast Food & Not Recommended! 9/28/2004

Unprofessional people (whoever that gal was) the food is take-out style and the biggest joke ever! If you're lazy, hungry and in need of Indian food without the high price and don't want to go far (that's if you live around the area) then this is for you. But if I were you, I would go as far as I can!! I would not recommend the food nor service. The worst ever! Pros: none!, None!, NONE!!! Cons: , service, professionalism more
