If you are looking for a perfect definition of a Seattle Diner, Beth's is the way to go. Excellent service, interesting decor, and most delicious food that you can get any time o...

It was worth the wait, and their menu was perfect for what we were looking for, Pros: Food was good Cons: They were a little busy and had to wait a long time

Great late night hangout/diner 10/6/2006

Beth's really captures the essence of Seattle. The people are friendly, the food is great, and there's a little bit of a rocker/punk feel. The waffles are to die for! And, if you feel like colouring, then do! The walls are filled with colouring book pages. It's definately worth a look, and if you're feeling adventurous, try the twelve-egg omelette. more

Even this NYer found herself at Beth's Cafe 7/30/2006

I went to Seattle to live it up during July as a local. I didn't want to see the space needle and I didn't want to do all the other tourist things. I wanted to catch a band at a dive bar and drink cheap beer. I wanted to shop at the consignment and thrift shops all over Seattle and drink some good coffee. I went to the gaslamp park to watch the fireworks with the hotel blanket and pillows in my backpack. I ate at Beth's Cafe two nights in a row because we were hungry. In the middle of the night, nothing sounds better than some breakfast food. Real butter and a generous serving of whip cream from a can...we are definitely there. We were there for the thick-as-can-be milkshakes and the corn beef hash. I am a hash lover...yes I am. Eat till you are sick and to satisfy that midnight crave. Don't forget about the all-you-can-eat hash browns...which we never seemed to ask for. The servings are so generous and more than enough. You'd even feel guilty for not being able to finish the toast. We loved loved this place and wished there was a comparable place in nyc...but nothing comes close. I guess all the drawings tacked on the walls support the love of the locals. more

Beth's Rocks! 7/1/2006

I LOVE Beth's Where else can you go at 4-6am in full fetish gear and have the place actually be crowded and not have anyone think you look strange? Good, heart-stopping food and tons of it in a fun, funky run-down yet appealing atmostphere. more

One Word...Breakfast Burger 5/18/2006

Think beef, egg, and cheese all melting into a gooey mess of yum! Cleanliness is not their strength, but the fact that it's so laid back makes it a nice hang out - especially when it's after hours for most places! more

Gotta Love It! 3/22/2006

This is one of my favourite places to eat at, largely because of the atmosphere. It is laid back and fun, alternative and artistic! I must say, now that we have a smoking ban, I'm a little worried about the change of atmosphere-- that was so much a part of Beth's. There are still many great qualities to this place, though. Where else can you create a piece of artwork while feasting on delicious hashbrowns, to be hung up on the wall for all to see? Where else can you do that at 3AM? I'm in love with their breakfast burrito and hashbrowns. I crave it frequently. YUMMY. The waitresses are pretty well known. Tip nicely and they will love you long time. more

you know the name 12/29/2005

Pros: 24-hour breakfast, smoking, decent food Cons: service is spotty, almost always full of kids, bad coffee, no liquor more

24 hours 11/22/2005

open 24 hours is such a great concept, especially for this place. Who doesn't want a 4 am omlette after a long night of drinking. I love Beth's. It is a secret from some and some keep it a secret because the more people you let know the longer the wait between the 2am and 5 am hours. more

The HangOver cure all. 9/21/2005

You want a 6 egg omelet? You got it! You want chicken fried steak and eggs? You got it! You want 10 coffee refills? Whatever you say. This place is relaxed and unpretentious. It is cheap, fast and good, just the way a greasy spoon should be. I love this place dearly. sigh.... more

best after hours breakfast greasy spoon 8/20/2005

Just go check it out. Incredibly interesting atmosphere for people watching, plus great food. home of the 12 egg omelet and never ending hash browns. Best hash browns in Seattle, possibly the States...dripping with butter. One non smoking table and a juke box that has had the same songs in it for 20 years. Coffee for some reason is pretty good... maybe because of the quick pouring sugar containers on each table. You'll probably wait for a table between 2am and 5am. I've never been there during daylight hours. more

unique cafe 8/13/2005

Beth's is an alternative type cafe in Seattle, open 24 hours. It's a rundown look, open for years and years and years. There are lots of colored pictures on the walls from patrons and many a tattooed and pierced waiter/waitress. This all describes Beth's Cafe, but I think it is known for its 12 egg omelette! It may not be the best but it is certainly the biggest that lays on a hashbrown bed. I dont know anyone who can finish it, but it's great for going in on with friends. The fries and burgers are good (says my SO) better then Shari's etc. The feel to the cafe is one of a kind! One of the things I love about this place is they do not enforce ridiculous rules like "You HAVE to order something" or "no card playing" like SOME diners have ... no names mentioned .. more

12 Egg Omlettes anyone 7/14/2005

Beth's is a total greasy, grungy, and very busy. It is very busy because Beth's drags in folks from all walks of life. ALL walks of life. They have good yet greasy diner food and the servings are HUGE. They have become somewhat famous for their 12 egg omlettes. They have an old jukebox and you can make and hang your own art display on the walls. Beths is fun and totally original! Just dont ask if the OJ is fresh squeezed. more

  • Citysearch staff says that Beth's Cafe is a "Green Lake icon that's been serving hearty breakfast fare to hungover 20-somethings since 1954." Beth's Cafe is famous for breakfast, served any time of day. You might have to share our 6- and 12-egg omelettes. Come eat, play great tunes on our jukebox and add your works of art to our walls.

We also serve lunch, with burgers, sandwiches, soups and salads. Dare to try our mondo burger--a half pound of meat, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and two strips of bacon.

We've been featured on the Travel Channel, Evening Magazine and Seattle Weekly. Come see what the fuss is about.
