It's almost a joke how bad the service is. Except it's not that funny when your drinks cost $15+.
The door men are usually cool. I mean, their job is to keep the place exclusive, so don't expect to get in if you look awful, but otherwise that aspect is fine. The girls who work inside are the problem. Maybe they only pay attention to rich looking men, but the last time I was there (just me and a girlfriend) we were literally ignored when we went to the section to order food, after wrongly being told the kitchen was closed, oh, wait, no it's actually still open, but ... blah blah.
Another time I was there, perhaps at a less busy time, the service was fine, but not outstanding. I'm going to stop complaining now, because, I think you'd be a fool to go to Bar Marmont in hopes of outstanding service. It's BAR MARMONT. You're lucky to be in there, right? That seems to be the general concensus. Drinks are great, location great, decor great, has the history, has the name. Go if you want, don't if you don't.
Pros: Sunset Strip location, history, decor, yummy strong drinks
Cons: rude girls work there
