VERY Dissapointing 1/18/2006

I am shocked that this place is getting so much hype. In my opinion the service was bad, the food bland and unexciting, and the atmosphere decent, but nothing special. I'm not impressed to say the least. Spend your money elsewhere on Randolph at truly unique establishments where you get what you pay for: great food and excellent service. Pros: None Cons: Bad Service, Noisy, Bland Food more

  • The Scene
A busy bar leads to a bustling dining room that looks like a big funky cafeteria, with blue mosaic tiled walls and pillars and a hodgepodge of seating, from wicker chair four tops to banquettes, and long tables for big groups. Patrons are a mix of buttoned-down professionals, neighborhood folks and chatty fashion renegades.

    The Food
Generously sized small plates, antipasti, flatbreads and hearty entrees make up the diverse northern Italian-inspired menu. Chewy and sweet-chilled Italian figs contrast deliciously with the garland of salty prosciutto and fresh, soft buffalo mozzarella. The mini Kobe beef sandwiches with sweet peppers, another small plate option, nearly melt in your mouth. The oxtail bolognese entree is a robust meaty red sauce poured over thick bucatini noodles. The rich white chocolate tart drizzled with carmel and mango peach sauce makes a fitting end.
