Bar Delux

This was a a spot I loved until it inherited an urban night, a latin night and a douche douch night. When it first opened I promoted the mondays with some french guys and we have a pretty solid european house night with DJ Vice and a bunch of house guest DJs. When that finish, I started running thursdays with a pretty solid upscale mixed crowd but then the awful crowd from the wednesdays and the weekend crowd started to show up to the Thursdays with their affliction, ed hardy, baseball caps, tennis shoes and skate boards.... I don't understand why a grown man will want to skate to a Party eeek!! Before it closed, it was bought out by the guys that ran Central into the ground. So they closed it for refurbishment, but it wasn't much of a refurbishment in fact I was quite disappointed with the refurbishment. It re opened as Atlantic, boooooo. Failed immediately and now it only opens for special events. So to round it up, Bar Delux is closed for business and Atlantic has failed has a business. New clubs opens in Hollywood all the time. Bar Delux is a small loungy place with an amazing interior but beyond that there aren't a lot of great things to say. The crowd is a bit obnoxious most nights and the music is unimaginative. There are some hot ladies who go here for sure but there are too many wannabe high roller guys that spoil the fun. I don't mind paying hollywood prices for alcohol but I expect something more than a weak drink. I haven't seen such a cool little place go bad so fast before. I can't comment on going to eat dinner here since I went here later for the club experience. Pros: Decor Cons: Drinks, Crowd more
