We are snowbirds who visit WPB half of the year, every year. We always visit BB Kings as it is one of our favorite spots for local music. The food is ok, nothing spectacular, but the environment makes up for it. Unfortunately on our last visit we had an absolutely horrible expereince, not with the food, not the server, not who you would expect but the manager, and supposedly the general manager at that? His business card he gave me says Curtis Peery, but I think there may be a typo, I remember it being more like Curtis Queery. The food took a long time, like it usually does, but as regulars we expect this, our server was awesome and continually apologized for the seating problems, the food taking to long, and the drinks being watered down, but again as regulars these are things we are used to by now. Everything was going great until we noticed our server was flustered and casually asked him "why?" He replied with a simple "just gets stressful around here sometimes." On our way we stopped a manager who looked like he was a some kind of secret mission and couldnt stop for anyone, well with the little bit of time he gave us he introduced himself as Curtis, we told him about our experience and our server and offered him several suggestions we thought would maybe help his serving staff. To our complete and utter dismay, all Curtis could do was put down and degrade his staff, he even apologized for his "half ass staff" as I quote him saying!!!!!!!!!!!!! My jaw was on the floor as he basically used us as a backboard to slam his employees and bitch to us about all the problems he has with them.....!!??? We love the staff at BB Kings, and due to the "general manager" we will never be returning. I think Curtis' superiors would be very disappointed to hear such things he had to say, I would personally be in tears if I were one of his employees. I will do what I can to let people know within the BB Kings company what a loser this man is, and do everything I can for the hard working and loyal servers at BB Kings, and hopefully be able to return one day to see their smiling faces again.
