We purchased a gift certificate worth $150.00 at a charity event. When we got a chance to use it, we foiund out that it had expired. We called and asked if they would honor the certificate after it expired, a manger told us told sure no problem they would honor it. So we went a family of 5. We apdi 5 per person cover charge ordered the food and drink, When it was time to pay, a differnent mamange told us that they don't make any money on the gift certificates and so thye would only give us half credir for the gift certificates. Needless to say I am angry, it is not about the money, I pay more than that for dinner quite often. It was not even about the food or drinks, it is about the fact that thye made money off me based upon a lie from their management. So I say they are no good, they suck. If that is the kind of place you want to go to then do it. If you have any dignity don't. more

We are snowbirds who visit WPB half of the year, every year. We always visit BB Kings as it is one of our favorite spots for local music. The food is ok, nothing spectacular, but the environment makes up for it. Unfortunately on our last visit we had an absolutely horrible expereince, not with the food, not the server, not who you would expect but the manager, and supposedly the general manager at that? His business card he gave me says Curtis Peery, but I think there may be a typo, I remember it being more like Curtis Queery. The food took a long time, like it usually does, but as regulars we expect this, our server was awesome and continually apologized for the seating problems, the food taking to long, and the drinks being watered down, but again as regulars these are things we are used to by now. Everything was going great until we noticed our server was flustered and casually asked him "why?" He replied with a simple "just gets stressful around here sometimes." On our way we stopped a manager who looked like he was a some kind of secret mission and couldnt stop for anyone, well with the little bit of time he gave us he introduced himself as Curtis, we told him about our experience and our server and offered him several suggestions we thought would maybe help his serving staff. To our complete and utter dismay, all Curtis could do was put down and degrade his staff, he even apologized for his "half ass staff" as I quote him saying!!!!!!!!!!!!! My jaw was on the floor as he basically used us as a backboard to slam his employees and bitch to us about all the problems he has with them.....!!??? We love the staff at BB Kings, and due to the "general manager" we will never be returning. I think Curtis' superiors would be very disappointed to hear such things he had to say, I would personally be in tears if I were one of his employees. I will do what I can to let people know within the BB Kings company what a loser this man is, and do everything I can for the hard working and loyal servers at BB Kings, and hopefully be able to return one day to see their smiling faces again. more

BB Kings sure is worth the drive up all the way from Miami. We had some killer Catfish, Mmmmm! The desserts were excellent, Banana bread pudding, Strawberry Short Cake. Management went above and beyond to make up for a small snafu. Entertainment was out of this world Rockin'! Definately one of our new local favorite spots. more

I've been to the West Palm Beach location several times. I usually entertain my out of town guests here. The food is always right (nice & hot), drinks are great and the entertainment (The bb king all stars) are excellent! I love that people are actually dancing and having a good time here. Stay away from the one in Orlando- I had high hopes, but it was an utter dissapointment. I'll definitely stick with this location in the future. more

I have been to this restaurant only once. It was one time too many. It was a slow time, less than 25% busy. You would think service would be good under such circumstances. It was not. I feel for the customer there during primetime. The waitress was mildly friendly and did not know the menu. Service was slow and sporadic. The choice of ambient music seemed very odd for a place with "Blues" in the name.\r \r My partner had ribs that he would not finish. They tasted as if they had been boiled in brine. I know, I sampled the dish. The staff took the criticism badly. I had their signature dish, salmon barbecue I believe in South Carolina style. The salmon and its sauce were expertly done. I assume this to be the case, as I am not familiar with South Carolina style fish barbecue. So much for the compliments on that dish. The accompanying cornbread was the heaviest and oiliest I have ever been served. This was served on a bed of Cajun rice and other Cajun specialties. It was flavorless and was served at tepid to cold temperatures. This rendered the entire dish extremely disappointing and woefully overpriced.\r \r Beware of restaurant managers that describe their wares on their webpages. I think they must be Republicans. more

I went during the day and it was a pleasant afternoon and the bar tender was friendly. I decided to go back to just walk in and look the night club and buy a shirt for my GF Dad and then leave. There was a $10 cover and since I was literally going to be there for about 5 min and ALSO buying a $20 shirt I asked the manager if he could waive the cover. I told him that I didn't have a lot of money but only had enough to buy her dad this shirt. He said there is no way he could do this, and then went on to tell me that if BB King were there he wouldn't either. I said whatever and walked away. HE THEN FOLLOWED ME OUT TAPPED ME ON THE SHOULDER AND WENT ON TO SAY BB KING WOULDN'T MAKE ANY MONEY IF HE LET EVERYONE IN FOR FREE. I couldn't believe it!!!!! He further made it a confrontation and made a total scene when I was walking away. It was unreal! I have no doubt this guy will not be manager long. more

Went around 3:30 on a tuesday. Only a few customers were there so the service was pretty quick. Food came out quick and hot. Menu is very southern. Most vegetable sides are cooked with pork, and there aren't a lot of non-meat items on the menu. My friend was not pleased by this fact. Happy hour drinks include top-shelf. This is not the best food I've ever had, but I'd definitely eat there again. more

We dined at BB's on Saturday for the first time. We ordered appetizers and 40 minutes later were still waiting. Our waiter politely explained that there was one kitchen for two restaurants and the other restaurant had a big party hence the long wait. How is this my problem?? Finally after 1.5 hours and our meal had not arrived, I asked to speak with a manager. Jenna handled the problem very professionally by giving us a free round of drinks and our meals free but they were definitely NOT worth the wait. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. more

The drinks were horrible. I ordered a Makers Mark on the rocks. How could you mess that up? Well they did twice in a row. The first one was watered down, the second one wasn't Makers, and when I told the waiter he looked at me like I was crazy only later to come back with finally a real makers. That was only after I advised him that I will never buy another beverage in that place again. Also the alcohol drinks were chinzy and over priced and in a small glass. The food was OK. Atmosphere was great , the band was really good. more

I have been in the restaurant business for 20 plus years.\r I had the absolute worst restaurant experience of my life.\r The greeters were disorganized; there were undisclosed problems with our "Preferred Seating." We (party of 11--birthday--which they knew well in advance) was seated at the back of the restaurant, behind the bar, far away from the stage, at HIGH TOP TABLES. When we requested a move, the manager gave us absolute grief!\r The food was cold, unprepared, the house beer was luke warm. We felt sorry for the wait staff who had to continuously apologize to us for long waits, missed orders etc. There was nothing signature about any of the entrees; the appetizer platter was average. The price points are very high for the quality of the food which is about on par with a Bennigans. There is lack of co-ordination between the front desk, the seaters, the kitchen staff and the waitresses. One of the many operational issues, is that there was nobody displaying any kind of hustle or customer care to try and fix inconvenience, food preparation and food quality issues. \r The only saving grace was the band (we love live music) but they could not save an absolutely horrible and the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. If this establishment does not improve, it will be gone within 12 months I would suggest. more

Just seems like another cheesy restaurant in CityPlace with no character and mediocre food. Our waitress was disappointed when we wouldn't order drinks for lunch and the selection of music playing sucked. I'm not interested in hearing Ace of Bass in a restaurant with "Blues Club" in the title.\r \r I had the Shrimp Po'Boy and it was nothing special. It tasted like frozen popcorn shrimp from the grocery story and the sandwich was rather dry. There was no unique flavor to any of the food I had and it was WAY overpriced. $15 for a sandwich and fries that aren't very good is a joke. more

Went there for Happy Hour and half-off appetizers. You really can't go wrong with draft beer and chicken wings at half price -- or maybe you could, the chicken wings were dry. Also, the two-man band that was playing there when we were there, they were awful. I would have rather listened to the voices in my head. more

Ok first of all I think it's really funny how restaurants work! (it's actually borderline pathetic) Managers make up screen names and write their own reviews daily, telling everyone how amazing their food is and how great their service is, as if they were a satisfied customer! Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but B.B King would be extremely disappointed to know the truth about the way the West Palm Beach Location is being ran. So here's the truth- I love Blues Music but I swear the Wedding Singer can carry a better tune. The food is a sad excuse for "comfort food", theirs nothing comfortable about cold fried pickles and soggy fried chicken, The staff is unexperienced (there is no reason why it should take over an hour for appetizers and in the mean time have your server avoid you!) And lastly, the management....they seem to think a drink on the house fixes everything lol I can't even go on. Anyway my message to you out their who really want to know the real deal about B.B Kings is- IT'S A FRAUD!!! Visit the one in Memphis it's the real deal. Sorry but sometime the truth hurts...... more

This restaurant chain (only 5 nationwide!) choosing west palm beach was a great thing for food and music! The live entertainment is daily and the artists vary from day to day. The food is very good and is definitely soul food mixed with cajun/low country cuisine. My favorite appetizers are the catfish bites, the chicken tenders (extremely juicy), and the nachos, but if you can't decide on one then they have the Soul sampler which offers BBQ ribs, fried pickles, chicken wings and delicious sausage. Their salads are a very reasonable portion and their gumbo yaya is a solid hit! Spicy but not unbearable! I have had the ribs which i find to be fall off the bone and delicious!!!! The catfish and shrimp is very comforting if you like seafood because the catfish is so succulent and the shrimp is not too garlicky nor is the jumbalaya too spicy. The sandwiches are great for anyone who wants something not too large. I eat here all the time because the drinks are very reasonably priced for being right in the middle of city place and next to muvico. The music room can get a little loud but oh my god i had a blast with my fiancee dancing on the floor while the band got off the stage and played on the dance floor!!! Overall I must say that at BB kings you have a great selection of food, drinks (which some come with a souvenir), and the service is exceptional. I would go there every night if i could afford it!!!! more
