What B & D Aquarium did YOU go to 2/23/2006

I walked in and saw feeder goldfish for $2.99, not .14 cents like most places. The door to the store was wet from the air in there. You'd think that after that many years in the business they would know how to fix that. The place stinks, and now my hand is wet. They did have some different fish, but the prices were way, way high. The area that the store is located in has gone downhill and has tons of street people. The iron gate that folds over the front door for security has been through a few break-ins and is missing the handle that was obviously pried off. The parking lot holds 3 cars. more

The hippie man is DA man! 9/25/2005

This is an awesome little fish store. If you keep fish tanks, whether salt or freshwater, you definitely need to check this store out! The owner has the best quality, and healthiest fish around, not to mention he has a wonderful variety of both fish and other live water creatures. The health of the animals is impeccable. He is very helpful and knowledgeable, and will help you get set up or solve problems. His prices are reasonable. Be on the lookout for an older man, looking like he just stepped out of Woodstock (bare feet and all!). He's the man to help you! more

Friendly help for new tank owners 8/5/2005

I just want to say that I am new to the world of fish and fish tanks. I went into this small store, it looks really small on the exterior but they have a large supply stocked inside. The people who work at the store have always been understanding and helpful. The staff seems to really care about fish and their environment. The lady offered to help and teach me how to set up my filter system (even without a purchase). They explained things to me I never thought about, like: Gravel, natural is better for your fish Fish choice, make sure you get fish that get along together Overall, it was nice to be able to go in and out and have no pressure to buy things I did not need. They don't want to sell you things that won't work for you, or that are not good for fish in general. more
