We contracted Aviv Movers and Storage to move our belongings. We had few companied come by our apartment to give us a quote. it was important to me to price3 do not change. Aviv Movers and Storage had the best price. The service was good and delivery within reason. more

These guys of Aviv Moving were amazing! Now, they almost didn't get 5 starts as they were late. But Moti called numerous times to keep us updated on the whereabouts of the crew (apparently they had a job that took much longer than they originally thought). The crew of three was able to move a one bedroom apartment (2 flights of stairs in both buildings) in 2 hours (with help from my wife and I)!!! Holy crap I've never seen 3 guys work so hard. They looked exhausted, but kept a positive attitude, didn't scratch a thing and even took time to apologize to neighbors about the moving noise. It was well worth the $375 (3 guys @ $150 per hour + 30 minute drive charge). These guys are top-notch and you won't be disappointed! more

I found great reviews on Aviv Moving and Storage and also through a friend that used them. They were fantastic - very careful with our things and reasonably priced. I had to cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency, and they squeezed me in the following Saturday even though they typically book up on Saturdays weeks in advance. Great job. We hadn't moved our office in over 23 years and had no idea who was a good moving company. So we turned to the net for search. After going through reviews on different sites, I zeroed in on Aviv moving. Moti, the owner, came to see our space and our heavier than should be legal fireproof filing cabinets. Everything went smoothly in the planning and all telephone calls were returned promptly. He told us exactly what we needed to do to prepare. They showed up right on time, worked like real pros and got us moved out and then moved in within record time. The 3 movers maintained a light and happy atmosphere during the actual move, yet remained serious and professional about what they were doing. The whole experience from start to finish was awesome considering how stressful moving is. This company is fantastic!!! more

I hired these guys to move me from Castro Valley to Danville and I feel I picked the right movers. They did an excellent job. Very hard workers, I knew the hourly rate for the crew and they busted their butts all day. No problems with the price and very good movers. One can use Aviv without thinking twice. more

Just had these guys move with in the city limits & their quote was dead on with no surprises no hidden fees like the last crew of jokers who moved me a couple of years ago. Very professional , these guys were recommended to me so I took a chance & have not looked back. Highly recommended more

I went to the net to research on movers - after all Aviv Moving and Storage made sense to be a choice for many. Richard and Nicolas were the guys - I shopped around a bit and Aviv Moving and Storage gave me the best quote, so I went with it. The guys showed up on time (even a bit early) and the total was on the low end of the quote range...exactly what I was looking for. They trudged up chairs on an uncharacteristically warm SF day, and took care of my furniture. My armoire is hell, and they were so good with it! No marks no scratches on anything...and they were so nice! Thanks again for all your efficiency ...and I will recommend Aviv to all who are seeking to move. more

I have move a couple times before, but this was the worst move i have had. The movers were rude, broke my furniture, and charge more than there estimate. I will not advise anyone to use this company more

Thank you Aviv Moving for a move well done. They men were very professional, they were on time, they were fun to work with. They answered all my questions and were efficient with their time. I am extremely satisfied with the way they wrapped and handled my things. It's not often that I would afford the time or feel motivated to write a letter of recommendation. I was extremely pleased with your movers and the overall adventure of my move from Boston to Seattle. I would like to again thank you and your men for moving my 'monster' couch down all those stairs. The foreman was rude and obnoxious. Constantly trying to get us to buy packaging when we had been told blankets etc. to wrap furniture would be free. They never mentioned that hoisting would be extra. They were also slow. You get double charged when they are driving as thats both move time and travel time ???. At the end of it the foreman even told me that I would be better of getting friends to move my stuff next time because my wife so upset with them ... They also scraped my walls and damaged by goods. more

Although initially very friendly and personable over the phone, when the actual moving took place, it couldn't have been a worse situation. I only asked for a handful of heavier items to be moved, however, with the three movers sent out, neither of them fit the necessary physical requirements that one would expect from a mover. This led to them going over the quoted time period which then began costing me additional dollars at an hourly rate. Their inability to move my furniture caused damaged not only to my furniture but the apartment I was moving into to. They also had a terrible attitude constantly complaining about injury from moving my furniture (maybe they should be in another profession if they can't handle it). The foreman then took it upon himself to charge me for the extra time and fabricated the length of time they actually moved my furniture. My quote was doubled and when I refused, he shouted at me inside my apartment in front of my kids and refused to leave until I ""paid him"" and said he would continue to stand there in my apartment until late at night and charge me for it until I signed his paperwork. It was after I repeatedly requested to speak to his superior that I was able to speak with the owner of the company who was pleasant enough and we came to an agreement on the price. How can a company expect to succeed when it employs people who can't fulfill the minimum expectations of the job at hand and treat customers with disrespect? Aviv needs to take a long look at their training and hiring because business will not last with how they are running it now. I will NEVER recommend this company, only warn those not to consider it. My furniture is damaged, I paid over the quoted amount and I was treated horribly. Disgraceful! more

I moved from Melrose to Winchester (a 20 min drive at most) and it took them almost an hour to drive over because they had taken a break to grab lunch and INCLUDED the time in the final cost. In the morning, they were not on time and called me when they had ""supposedly arrived"" at my house, but when I went outside, the truck didn't arrive for another 15 to 20 minutes, but the timer had been started despite the fact that no one had even arrived yet. When they had finished moving, the time was nearing 6 hours, but instead of stopping the timer then, the movers decided to slowly fold the blankets used as padding for my furniture. They charged me for 7 hours' worth of moving even though everything aside from large pieces of furniture were already neatly packed away in boxes! Also, despite the fact that I tried to tell them to be gentle with my belongings, they broke one of my desks and yes, they did try to fix the piece of furniture, but AT MY EXPENSE since they factored it into the final amount due. I have moved 3 times in the past 7 years in and around the greater Boston area and did not gain too many pieces of furniture within that time. In 2004, my move cost $500, and in 2007, it was $600, but now, 2010, it cost me over $1000 to make this move! The customer service is terrible especially since the manager never seems to be present when I wanted to merely make suggestions. I only chose this company since they seem to be available at all times probably since so few people are innocent enough to settle on this company. FUTURE CUSTOMERS BEWARE! LOOK ELSEWHERE IF YOU WANT YOUR BELONGINGS INTACT AND YOUR MONEY IN YOUR WALLET!! more
