Always a great experience. My student is getting better each time and listening to feedback. The only negative was not receiving the 500 extra bonus points from an email promotion on buying two skin care products only to find out that tinted moisturizer doesn't count as skin care. Funny, the tint portion all of a sudden makes it not qualify as a skin care product. more

My hair is finally back to it's natural color, but with a fab new cut! Thank a mill Steph! more

An instructor met with me and the student prior to starting the haircut to gain an understanding of what I wanted. He then asked the student questions about how they would go about it and provided guidance and suggestions, and left the student to work. The student gave a scalp massage, washed my hair, sectioned it off, and started the 1st part of my haircut. While we waited for the instructor to check the student's work, the student brought me a gourmet cup of hot tea and gave me the best hand/arm massage. The instructor checked the students work (3) more times, including the final styling, and asked me if the student talked about the products used, offered additional services, if I liked the cut/style, how best to maintain the style...it was definitely spa treatment at a much lower price, and helping the student build clientele. more

I have been going to Aveda since the school in Conroe, Tx. I have always been treated with very good service from trainers and students. I plan to be a steady customer. more

My experience at Aveda was wonderful. My hair looks great and my stylist was fun, energetic and it was important to her that I was happy. I'm going back tonight for a cut! more

The cut and color I received at the Aveda Institute was superior to the many high-end salons I have gone to over the years. The stylist and supervisor that I had were very professional and included my ideas and feedback in the training process. The true test of a great haircut is to see how it responds days after the cut. It was very easy to style and stayed true to what I wanted in a cut. I've gone back again...but when the sylist I go to graduates and joins a salon, I'm going with her...eventhough it will be more expensive! She is awesome! Natalie was great , however I did find the instructor's interaction with me regarding my choice in color quite off-putting and unfriendly. Perhaps she could polish up her people skills and strive to make experience for the customer less stressful. Also, even a tiny smile and brief eye contact would be beneficial in making her approach seem less severe. She was not unpleasant with student, however, only with patron, me. Thank you. I'm one of the most regular clients. I've been there 10 times and I've referred 4 customers. This time was not good and they didn't even provide appropriate customer service to make it better (free service next time or anything) disappointed.. more

This is my 3rd trip to Aveda. I have received 2 cuts before and this time I wanted to get a color and cut. They started with the color and used a "weave technique" that does take longer but I LOVED the results. The student that worked on me was cheerful, and easy to talk with. The teacher was also very experienced and easy going! We did not have time for the cut today but it was worth the extra time to get the results!! I have my next appointment already to get a cut! Thank you so much!! Anyone that writes a bad review on these kids is awful. The school should stress that it is a learning experience and could take more time. more

When I pull up my hair from the crown, the sides are not symmetric. I was hoping the instructor would notice; but, he did not. I have gotten my hair cut at other schools; but, I did expect more from Aveda. Plus, my mom has been getting her hair cut there from the beginning of the year & it always looks so good. more

When I was in line to check out this woman jumped in front to me because she wanted to checking and the receiptionist let do it.I then told the receiptionist that I was next in line and not this woman.She told me she would check me out after she checked in this woman. This woman was 45 minutes late for her appointment, when the receiptionist told her that the woman lied and said that you all had the time wrong. I had to wait until your receiptionist found her a new appointment. When I again told her I was first, she told me I had to wait until she finished with this woman. I have been going to your school for a while and I did not appreciate your receiptionist treating me this way. Thanks Ann Arnett 370-1340 more

The Aveda Institute is wonderful place with caring young stylists. I thought they did a great job with the highlights/lowlights. The young man who did my hair really cared and loved his art. ( One section of my hair didn't pick up the color as well, but that may just be my hair.) The thing to remember is that these are all students. I showed up at 10:30 a.m. for my appointment and left at 3:15 p.m. I did not get my hair cut and it was a very superficial blow dry because I was in such a rush to leave. more

My first experience at Aved was positive. My haircut is shorter than I wanted it to be but it is an excellent cut. I will certainly go back for a color treatment. more

I came to Aveda about a month ago for the first time and I was utterly impressed. A student Lauren Hood was the one who did my hair. She was great! Normally I don't like to talk to people at salons because they tend to be nosey or the awkward to talk too, but I found myself really enjoying all the conversations with my hair dresser. And to top thy she made my hair look amazing and her showing me all the products she used on my hair was great! I bought some of the products and now styling my hair a wash become such breeze with the styling tips she gave me! I'll definitely be back in soon! That student deserves and A+ more

With the help of the instructor, my stylist was able to complete an advanced haircut that I really like. I have heavy fine hair that requires several different types of texturing to acquire the effect I want. more

I went in for highlights on 10/1/2011. I had Maritza, and she was fabulous! My highlights over the summer went almost platinum, and I wanted to darken my naturally blonde hair for fall. I showed her magazine photos of what I wanted, and she did an amazing job. I got hi-lights, lo-lights, then an all-over toner to bring the color down to a level 9 (from level 11ish). The result is AMAZING! (Plus she was very fast and fabulous with her hi-lights!) This would have cost me a fortune at an Aveda salon, but the prices are so fantastic at the Institute that I can afford to get my hair hi-lighted regularly. I love this place and highly recommend it! more

Came in today to get a brow and lip wax, and then get a haircut. The waxing was done well, and thoroughly. I was pleased with the result. My only critique is that the student did not close the door to the room, and I thought that was unusual for a spa service. Not sure if that is a policy of the institute..or if she just forgot..?? Next, I got a haircut. The student was very pleasant and made conversation well. She started with a scalp, neck, shoulder massage. I felt like the pressure she used in giving the massage could have been a little stronger. The wash was fine, and she was gentle in brushing out the tangles of my wet hair. She was thorough in asking what I wanted and showing me picture examples. She did take her time with the cut and concentrate on the task, but I felt like she was being just a tad too overly-cautious with cutting the length off and the style that we had discussed. The blow dry was okay, but I left with the thickest part of my hair in the back still damp. I think she could have taken a little more time with the blow dry. Overall, however, I was pleased with both services I got today, and I think both ladies did a nice job! more

I love my hair color, the process went really well. I have curly hair and am growing it out and wearing it natural,so I asked for my hair to be shaped and Lexie did a fantastic job. My hair looks great. more
