I visit here a lot.\r \r Although this place is not luxurious, it's clean and efficient. It even smells nice. I work in an office sitting at a keyboard all day, and my neck and shoulders get stiff and sore. I've started to do massage every two weeks or so. I can't afford the million-dollar salons. I like it here because it's close to work, very affordable, and they get down to business quickly. Every time, the massage makes my neck and shoulders feel more open, mobile and pain free. The therapists know the trouble spots. They can feel them by touch. They frequently ask, ""too strong?"" and sometimes I have to tell them ""Yes,"" and hey tone it down a bit. I feel there's accuracy, care and good communication. I like it here and plan to return often. more

I'm so happy! My husband and I had fertility issues. We had gone to our primary care physicians for examination, and everything came up normal. I even tried another acupuncturist about a year ago, with no success. My husband had been coming to Asia Tui Na for massages for stress relief, and one day told me that Dr. Li had treated many fertility cases. So I gave it a try. Dr. Li made no promises, but gave me some nutritional advice, and suggested acupuncture twice a week for relaxation and energy balance. But in only 6 visits I had a wonderful surprise waiting for me! I continued the treatment into the first trimester of my pregnancy. Thank you, Dr. Li! more

The massage was ok but not strong enough. more

The real deal 12/27/2011

This place is clean, quick and functional. It's like a busy doctor's office and not so much like a luxury spa complex. They were right on time for my appointment. I've been to some other massage places in this price range, but they weren't clean or the skill level wasn't there. But Asia Tui Na really gets the job done! I had a stiff, sore neck from playing tennis way back in August. I think I jerked and pulled something. All this time, it's been painful to turn my head more than 45 degrees to the right. Other massage places didn't hit the right spot. But here, the massage was not only deep-tissue-style, but they really knew by feel just where to work their magic. Now, the sharp pain and stiffness are gone. And what I really liked was that the therapist asked me several times, ""Too strong? Let me know."" A couple times I had to tell her, and she immediately got more gentle. Yay, it still worked! I really like this place, and I plan to come back! Pros: price, and skill Cons: not the best English more

great job 9/7/2011

i feel much better after visiting Asia Tui-Na Massage and Acupuncture. Everyone was definitely focused on providing the best service possible. Everything finally feels like it's in the right place. more

it seems like its more rushed without attention to my experience 7/30/2011

I patronized this massage spa for several months and have seen a steady decline in their service. It seems as though they have not been able to sustain their quality of service as their business has grown. To begin with, the hour I paid for seems to get shorter and shorter. Even though I have to wait when going during peak hours, my suspicion is that the waiting time and prep time is measured as part of the hour which should not happen. Secondly, I used to feel like the staff was very attentive and made sure to provide a thorough, deep strong back massage. Now, it seems like its more rushed without attention to my experience. I might have to start reading reviews of other massage therapists and spas on InsiderPages to find another service. more

Very nice place for message 6/16/2011

Been there last time with my girlfriend and she is total in love with this place.definitely come back next week. more

I like it very much! 1/21/2011

I have been to Asia Tui Na massage place for many times. Every time when I go to there, I am so excite. There is my favour because after their massage I get great relaxation, and energized. Their massage is different from other places. I would say that is not a common massage, instead of a therapy. Those massage therapists have a very good skill, they can quickly and correctly find your painful points or nodes, through their deep pressure relieving your pain, and removing your nodes. that is really amazing. By the way, Asia Tui Na office is very clean that I never ever been, particularly in Chinese massage office. I highly recommend it to peoale if who want to try massage. more

New Mommy 4-16-10 5/21/2010

I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years. I had been seeing a fertility specialist for a while. I took many different injections to try to get pregnant almost 4 a day at one point. I had inseminations and invitros and nothing worked. I was told by the fertility specialist that my body responded as the body of a woman over 40. BTW I am only ( 27 at this point! On May 22, 2009, my home burned down, right before that I had my third invitro and was patiently waiting to hear if I was pregnant (May 27). Well I was not pregnant and the doctor told me that I should look for donor eggs because mine were no good. He even went as far as to ask me if I had a sister. Well that just broke me down! I thought this wa it! At this point life was begining to look pretty hopeless and I thought nothing would go Shortly after I began doing some research on the internet and found Dr. Li. Accupuncture and infertility. Well I figured I would give it a shot what else did I have to lose. I began to visit Dr. Li twice a week I would say for almost two months and like some miracle I became pregnant! I contined accupuncture through most of my pregnancy. I am happy to report that on April 16, 2010. I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby boy. I know that Dr. Li was the one who helped my husband and I achieve this. Have faith and belief in Dr. Li and her treatments. Pros: Provides a personal touch more

Pregnant and Hopeful 5/9/2010

My husband and I have wanted a baby for the last four years. I've gotten pregnant three times in the past 3 years, but the first two pregnancies did not give a heartbeat at 8 weeks. The third pregnancy was a miscarriage. I turned 34 this year, and my husband and I were getting desperate. A friend recommended Dr. Li to me. At first I was hesitant, because I hate needles. But I recently got pregnant for a 4th time. It's been 14 weeks, and so far everything has gone exactly according to plan. I am anxious but hopeful that this will work out. Dr. Li was so helpful and she continues to give me treatments to help maintain my hormone levels. Pros: Very professional, Explains all treatments to me more

the place where solved my trouble 3/16/2010

I have had a low-back pain for 2 months and the feeling has been so bad that I couldn't keep standing for a while. My friend suggested me to visit this office, and had an acupuncture treatment. It works after 4th treatment! I got used to it although I don't like the needle, more

Loved it, but not coming back now 3/16/2010

Been going to this place for years and though it's sometimes hard to communicate to the women who speak very limted english, really know how to get all your knots out. Their new receptionist speaks english very well, but is beyond rude and makes it seem like you're lucky to even get a spot. I won't come back. Pros: great massages Cons: receptionist beyond rude more

Highly rec for pregnancy! 3/13/2010

Dr Li was rec. by a pregnant friend. I had had 2 miscarriages and after 1 month of going 2x/week I got pregnant. I then went regularly during pregnancy and had a wonderful, painless pregnancy with no complictions. As my due date approached, I was feeling large and ready to give birth. I went to Dr Li the day before my due date and told her I wanted to have the baby. She gave me the ""bring out the baby"" treatement and I went into labor that night! I had an unmedicated, natural birth with no complications. Joaquin was 9lb6oz and healthy. I went back 6 days after giving birth and Dr Li has helped me feel great post pardum. Now if she could just teach Joaquin to sleep 8 hours :) Pros: Dr Li is very professional and knowledgeable more

Open in the Snow! 12/20/2009

I live close, so I was pleased to see it open during the recent snowy days in December. I've had many Chinese-style tui-na massages, but here they do an all-around good job. Fast, clean, professional, reliable, good prices, and no waiting for my appointment. Unlike what billiams77 mentioned, I get the full hour - sorry if that happened Bill! Anyway, my neck and shoulders always feel looser, lighter, and ache-free afterwards. Pros: Overall professional and efficient more

they short you on the time 11/18/2009

I've gotten massage and acupuncture treatments from this establishment for years with no problems or complaints. But the last three times I've been there they have cheated me out of at least ten minutes. I've set up hour long appts each time and arrived on time each time I waited in the front room and the massage table for my massage, and each time I took time to dress, and each time an hour had elapsed at the time of my payment, which meant that my waiting time and dressing time came right out of my massage time. The massueses seems hurried and rather factory like-- though the massage was good--but it seems that they are more interested in getting people in and out than providing services for the time you pay for. I'm going to give them one more try, and if they attempt to short me again I'll never return and will report the problem on this site. Pros: good massage Cons: they cheat you out of time more

This place is shady 11/14/2009

I booked an hour long massage at this place because it was near two places I had other appointments. I booked this massage because I had just run the marathon and needless to say the front of my legs were rather sore. I mentioned this to both the receptionist at the front desk and the masseuse. The masseuse did my backside including my legs, then my front including my chest and arms. I was looking forward to having my front legs massaged like you can't imagine but just then the masseuse mentioned that my time was up and would I like to continue. I was like what??? She agreed to give me a little bit on my legs for free but unfortunately I couldn't stay much longer because of my next appointment. Personally I think she did it on purpose since she knew my legs were hurting and she thought I'd just say sure to continue more for more money. I mentioned to the receptionist at the front desk that I'd never had an hour long massage that didn't cover the front of my legs and particular more

an amazing acupuncturist 11/2/2009

firstly, I want you to share in my happiness. I am such a lucky person. let me to tell you my story. Pros: good acupuncture treatment ! more

Wow.... amazing hands.... 11/1/2009

After working in front of a computer 10-14 hours a day I go to this place to loosen up my neck , back and shoulder about once a month. The girl MAY know exactly were the go for . The fact that it's open till 10:00 pm just can't be beat. Those of you who liked your massage with good amount of pressure would probably agree that in most places, regardless of price, the masseus either don't put enough pressure, try to move away from the shoulder, or use elbow instead of fingers. But May know exactly how much pressure to use. WOW !!!! I was amazed . I don't need to tell her much and she was able to locate my pressure point and all my knots. It's a hole in the wall. it's not a day spa. But if you slept on the wrong side or need your shoulder fixed so you can go to work the next day, this is the place where you can get all the knot and tight feeling out .... AAAA+++++ I will tell all my frds and co -workers. Pros: great place , great price , Cons: none.... more

Literally saved my neck! 11/1/2009

I saw the review saying that the customer didn't get the full time paid for. That certainly didn't happen to me - it was full, fair time to the minute, and the place was busy at the time too! Anyway, I had a stiff and sore neck. Tension, working, and a 5-mile run turned stiffness into a burningly sharp pain. One hour (full 60 minutes :-) ) along with some fragrant Chinese medicinal oil and the pain and stiffness were gone! I like the feeling of this place. As others have said, it's not opulent. It's down-to-earth and kind of honest, looking like a doctor's office designed by a feng shui master. The massage was quite strong - here's a tip: this isn't your Central Park chair-massage back-rub. Tell the therapist beforehand if you want your tui-na light, medium or strong. Their default is on the strong side! Pros: Knew the body, one visit made my pain go away Cons: Therapist didn't speak much English (no chit-chatting) more

  • Tui-Na is Chinese massage. It is an ancient form of Chinese therapeutic deep-tissue bodywork. It brings stimulation to the muscles and circulation, and targets the body's energy meridians. It allows blocked energy to flow. It is based on ancient Chinese medical principles, which teach health as a balance between Yin and Yang, and an unblocked flow of "Chi," or vital energy.
