Editorial review from Citysearch 6/8/2013

I've come here several times with my boyfriend and his parents, and every time the experience has been great. I haven't had a bad dish here; my favorite has to be Anthony's crab cakes, which seem to have hardly any filler at all. (The plum ginger sauce is excellent.) The service is good; the waitstaff are attentive and cheerful, and took care of our beverages and empty plates swiftly. more

Great food!! 11/24/2009

The food was spectacular and the service phenomenal. Excellent recommendations on our dinner - King Salmon and Ahi! We will definitely be back. Exactly what we were looking for - a nice quiet evening with great service and perfectly prepared seafood! I will say, however, that the management or owners need to look into updating the look of the dining room and bathrooms. Very dated and the bathrooms were downright unpleasant. Pros: Salmon was the absolute best!! Cons: Decor needs updating. more

Awful food, terrible service 6/18/2009

I brought my family here for dinner (5 adults). One person had dietary restrictions and the waitress (Danella) was visibly annoyed at the questions we asked her. We had to keep reminding her to bring things to us, and she never did bring the coffee we ordered. The light over our table kept flickering, which was very annoying. The food was gross-my meal tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. The calimari was good, and the cocktails were also good, but everything else was bad. I can't believe I paid $350 for this meal. We will never go to this restaurant again. Pros: Nice view Cons: Overpriced bad food, snotty service more

Terrible Place 11/5/2008

I have been to this place several times over the years, always because of a social obligation beyond my control. It's always the same. Bad overcooked, dry seafood. The last time I was there I simply could not get past the appearance of the table. The dishes were beat up, and so worn that they should have been thrown away. The water glass had gobs of who knows what floating in it and the waiter seemed annoyed when we asked for new glassware. I also insited that they replace my plate. The lack of care, and poor overall mangement was evident. Too bad for such a great location and a great Seattle company. more

Absolutely awful. Inattentive service. The salmon was soggy and did not taste fresh. I had greasy prawns. more

my favorite restaurant in Seattle! 8/25/2008

Anthony's is a great place for a casual or formal dining experience on the water. Outdoor patio seating in summer is great and the food is always superb. Service is regularly very good and their bread is amazing! This is a good place for families and large groups and reservation are recommended. This is not a hipster hangout just a great restaurant with delicious food! Pros: great food, location more

Nice but not great 11/18/2006

We went out for a formal date night there. We had reservations, but were a bit disappointed to be seated by a group of homecoming kids. They were loud and changed the atmosphere a bit. But oh well, like we knew they were going to be there. The food was alright, but not amazing. We had the calamari for appetizers. They were tender and great. We also had the shrimp cocktail. They used baby shrimp. Not too bad. The entree, was a good, but a bit disappointing. For the price of the two fish fillets I could gotten a surf and turf plate. Just fish and mashed potatoes. The wine that was recommended was delish though. I kind of missed the atmosphere at Palisades. Well in summary, the food was alright, but not worth the price, it's great for a date, but try to avoid during the Homecoming/Prom season. The service was good, the guy was pretty attentive and nice. So take this review as you will. Pros: parking, service, wine Cons: too much of a family atomsphere, and not so great atmosphere when you have the homecoming/prom group more

Great view! 7/4/2006

So I go to Ray's...right next door...but it seems the rest of Seattle had the same idea. Couldn't even squeeze into the bar at Ray's. So I ran next door to Anthony's. I've since been back 3 additional times in the past two weeks. Pros: Great view from the deck Cons: Occasional bad drinks... more

Nice place 4/10/2006

I am not a huge fan of seafood but I have to admit, Anthony's is a very nice place. They have great food and nice birthday celebrations! It is a great place for a fancy event! Pros: Great food, Nice atmosphere Cons: Expensive more

Good food with great location 2/18/2006

Had heard from numerous friends how good the food was along with the service and location so my husband and I had to check it out...The location really is great!! We were seated at a window booth that had a beautiful view of the water!!! The service was a little above average than most places but they were not willing to go that extra mile. The food was some of the best seafood i think i have ever had and i grew up eating seafood since i was a little kid.. Needless to say the overall experience was enjoyable... Pros: Great views, Good Seafood, Valet Cons: High priced more

Anthony's Shilshole - best outdoors 5/17/2005

If you can manage to find a table out on the point you have the best outdoor dining in Seattle! You are right on the water! more

Food matches the view - INCREDIBLE! 1/17/2003

My experience at the Anthony's Homeport at Shilshole Bay in Ballard was AWESOME! The food was excellent (try the King Salmon or Ahi) and so was the service. Our server, Gene, was knowledgable and funny (not to mention handsome!) and made our dining experience very pleasurable. The view is great and it's a lot less crowded than the other Anthony's restaurants! Pros: Spectacular View, Amazing Food, Romantic Cons: Before 6 crowd is old more
