My original furnace and humidifier were installed by Sears back in 1982 (or there abouts) in 2007 a new heat exchanger was installed by Sears under the extended warranty program. Every year I have had Sears out to do and annual inspection. This year I asked if they could repair or replace my non-working humidifier and they said they could NOT. Parts are no longer available, and they only do installs as part of a complete furnace install. So, I had to look elsewhere. While walking thru Home Depot, I happened to come across an associate that offered to have their contractor (Andy's Statewide) come out to my house and take a look - and give me an offer. Andy's came out and gave me several options; of which I chose removal and replacement of my whole house humidifier. An appointment was made and, on the date specified Andy's Statewide dispatched their technician Joe S. Joe was very courteous and professional, looked over my problem and recommended several options for the installation. We discussed the options, but I decided to go with Joe's recommendation - based on his apparent knowledge and experience. The job was not the easiest, as my furnace is tucked away in a cubby hole with the hot water tank partially in the way. Joe was meticulous in his work and persevered. A few hours later, the job was completed, everything was checked for proper operation - and no leaks. Thank you Andy's Statewide, and specifically thank you Joe S. for doing a wonderful job and taking the time to explain things to me.
