Best

I just started working out at this location (used to go to the 5th ave location near my work); but I love this place. Humongous facility, and it only costs me about $45/month.......

Worst

It may look nice on the outside... but what you don?t realize is that this place is run by slimy, low class, liars. Oh, and don?t ever try to leave because they will hold onto you...

Amazing New Space 3/20/2007

I have been a member since 2006. There has been a lot of construction, but it is almost all over (or so they say). It has been inconvenient at times, but over all I have been very impressed with the staff, the improvements, and their vision for the future. If you have been waiting to come back to the gym - now is the time. Good stuff: Personal Trainers, Classes, Fitness Clinics Bad stuff: Construction more

Better management now 8/21/2005

http://www.allstarfitness.com I've been a member of this gym since 2000. The guy who was in charge of the 5th and Olive gym (his first name was Glen) was not a good manager. He moved over to manage the West Seattle gym (near Delridge and Andover). I almost left because of how poorly things were going under his management. He's gone now and I believe the quality of the classes and programs have improved significantly. West Seattle is the one I use most often: bathrooms are pretty wet most of the time, studios are in good condition, LOVE the class instructors. Especially Natalia for the step aerobics classes. Queen Anne: one of the older gyms in the Allstar family and the wear and tear shows a bit in the locker rooms. Parking can be a headache depending on what time of day you go and whether or not there is a major event at the Arena or Seattle Center. Key Tower: I've only been there once. Nice views. I'll probably try a few more classes there this year. Fifth and Olive: I have not been there since they reconfigured the space a few years back. more

Should be called "Average Joe's Gym" 8/21/2005

I've been a member of the Downtown (5th & Olive) location for about 9 months now, and despite the fact that it's not the prettiest place, I will continue to be a member due to the great staff and no-pressure atmosphere. What's good: Personal trainers, daily yoga and aerobic classes, low-key atmosphere (I usually hate working out with the weight equipment at the gym, but I don't feel weird or out of place here). What's awful: The locker rooms (yuck. I prefer to be sweaty at work and really don't enjoy seeing so many of the over 40 crowd naked), music, lack of televisions to watch while on treadmill, etc. more
