Businiess name:  Canges Italian Ice
Review by:  Lauren P.
Review content:
Whenever Staten Island gets a writeup in a big food column, it's either for it's pizza, or for it's italian ices. And if it's for Italian Ices, it's always for Ralph's ices in Port Richmond. Now I'm not saying that Ralph's is bad, it's not, but the best Italian Ices on Staten Island (and probably the world) are at Canges Ices in Grasmere. Right off Hylan Blvd. between clove road and old town road is a little shack halfway up the block from Hylan, and from that shack, open only in the summer, makes the best italian ices i have ever eaten. the lemon ice, the standard for judging, is just tart and sweet enough, but the vanilla chip is my favorite. and they sell them in the proper paper cups, not plastic solo cups you need a spoon for like at Ralph's. Support this family business, and make your tastebuds happy on a hot summer night.
