For a fun hour of shopping, grab a best friend and go to this boutique, ok - really a thrift store of sorts. They have a great selection of dressy outfits and some more outlandish fashions that are fun for a special night on the town - and the prices are reasonable enough that you don't have to worry if you never wear it again. Better yet, plan to swap with your friends and then put back into consignment and get back some of your investment
