Businiess name:  Zebb's

Review content:
Zebb’s 1890 South Clinton Brighton, NY 585-271-1440 Zebb’s is decorated like an old style diner, but not as good as Disney would do it. Neon everywhere and pictures of Marilyn does not equal 50’s décor. We decided to sit at the bar, as it was pretty empty. Holiday weekends are difficult for restaurants to show a lot of volume if they aren’t smack dab where vacationers are. Zebb’s is an upstate NY chain, and this is the only Rochester location. We sat down at the bar and we were greeted immediately. I chose a tall Sam Adams Summer Ale ($4.35), and my dining partner grabbed a Tall Yuengling ($3.00). One thing that endeared us to Zebbs, they treat Yuengling price wise as all of the other American beers. Of course, we would of pledged our allegiance if it was the same with the Sam also. I ordered the Santa Fe Chicken ($9.29). A boneless chicken breast smothered in cheese, mushrooms and bacon served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The presentation was nil, with the potatoes scooped into a scary ice cream shape and the vegetables scattered on the plate. However presentation aside, the dish tasted not bad. The mixed vegetables were in various stages of done, but the chicken breast was juicy and tender and the potatoes were not an instant mix. The meal also came with a mini-loaf of bread that came out hot. My dining partner ordered the Baby Back Ribs ($12.99). Presentation is hard to do with ribs since everything is crammed on the plate. The ribs were quite good, nice and tender with a sweet BBQ sauce. Again, potatoes were surprisingly good, however the coleslaw was quite bland. All in all, not a bad stop. We enjoyed prompt service and edible food. I don’t think we’ll go out of our way to stop here, but it was better than expected. Eat Out Rochester http://eatoutrochester.blogspot.com/
