Review content:
I used to love this store, because it was nice to have a real 'boutique' option in the neighborhood. But as I gained familiarity with the product, I realize that if it has the house label on it, they got it very cheap from a supplier.
Part of this realization came from how quickly their house-brand shirts, skirts, etc. fell apart after just one or two washings, even on the delicate cycle. The other part of this realization came from seeing the same shirt I'd purchased from Pookie displayed in the window at Joyce Leslie on 8th street. My astonishment was such that I went inside to check for sure, and it was the same exact top. The difference in price was $25. That was enough to put me off the store forever.
And don't get started about their customer service...
