Businiess name:  Half Price Books Records Magazines

Review content:
There are numerous stores in this small Texas chain and every one that I've visited is about the same as the next. They sell USED materials, primarily, although there are publisher's closeouts, too. This is a fantastic treasure trove for all bibliophiles and you never know what you might find there. Near the front of every store is a bargain section with lots of great reading and somewhere else, usually in the back, is a clearance section where you can pick up a great book for a dollar or two. Their selection of videos, CDs, DVDs, magazines, etc. is amazing and all the prices are at least half off the retail. Plus, they will buy all your old books, records, magazines, etc. back from you. We have received as much as $40 for a box of gun books to $7 for a stack of magazines. I would imagine our average *take* is about $12 and with that, it pays for our gas to get there plus gives us extra to buy some books or movies. They won't buy just anything, but anything they sell, they will buy. Some of their newer stores are larger and have large comfy chairs (like Barnes & Noble) to sit and read in. If you are ever near one, stop in and check it out...you will be glad you did.
