Review content:
Not a bad gym 8 months out of the year. Then warm weather starts and it turns into a hot, humid sweatbox. I think they actually do turn on the AC during the summer, but they also keep windows and doors open to the outside (upstairs and downstairs), which lets in the hot, humid air & negates the AC.
I said as I was leaving the gym today, if it's *this* uncomfortable to work out here in mid-May, think about what's coming in August!""
I don't like to leave a workout feeling annoyed and angry... but that's what happens at Gold's Midtown in the warmer months. Too bad, too -- all they need to do is keep the windows closed, but apparently they don't think enough of their members to do even that.
Pros: Bare-bones gym with all requisite equipment
Cons: Bad climate control in summer months
