Businiess name:  Los Angeles Opera
Review by:  Edward K.
Review content:
LA Opera has been around for 20 years and has already established itself as an important world opera company. Placido Domingo is the director and a frequent performer and conductor. Kent Nagano is the outgoing principal conductor, and he will be missed. The company does a good mix of standard repertoire and some more daring productions. They perform at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, which is still in pretty good shape. It gets a little hot up at the top, though, so it's worth the extra money to sit downstairs if you have it.
