I am a recently married young professional -my husband and I have been renting from Omnibus for almost a year and plan to rent the same unit for a couple more years.\r

PROS: We love Sherry and Allison -they are always pleasant to talk with and really care that we are happy in our apartment. The maintenance staff (Monitor) are FANTASTIC! They are quick to respond to requests (usually the same-day, regardless of time). In a recent storm, our neighbor's tree fell across our wooden sidewalk -they were out in the snow and wind fixing everything! We feel that the price right now is reasonable and the other tenants are respectful. When they raised our rent at the time of renewal, they even worked with us for a negotiated rate in between, which we greatly appreciated.\r

CONS: while Monitor is quick to respond, their quality of work is hit-or-miss. (Note, I think they contract some of the work such as painting and counter resurfacing out to other cheaper companies which is where most of my complaints lay). \r

All in all, my husband and I feel that renting our Omnibus unit now is a better value than buying a home. It appears that most of the negative comments are coming from students.... and oh boy, I remember renting as a student in FL (I'm sure it's the same everywhere). I can't speak as a student, but as a full-time professional I gladly recommend Omnibus.\r

Update - July 2013\r
Been here just over 2 years now and husband and I are still happy campers. Extended our lease for another year :) hopefully it's not the last!
