I went to Beehive for my first and only visit in the summer of 2006. I had black hair and decided that I wanted to get it as blonde as possible, knowing that the process of going from black to blonde was very damaging. Beth (my ""hairdresser""), however, did not seem to know what she was doing at all. She consulted Christy, the only other stylist at Beehive, about every single thing she did to my hair, from the type of bleach to the duration it should stay in. She used only bleach on my hair (as opposed to a high-lift blonde which is less damaging) and caused over half of it to fall out due to breakage. When in between full-head processes of bleach, I almost passed out at the sight of my orange, breaking hair. I wanted to cry. After washing out the second process, she exclaimed, ""You didn't tell me it was curly!!!!"" It is actually wavy, and you'd think that she'd know how to deal with it... but apparently not. By then it was late, so after washing out the bleach, she instructed me to come back the next day for her to finish and sent me home with wet hair. The next day, after a million toners and glazes which barely got rid of the orange-y color, she attempted to style it. When I told her that I always use a straightener on my wavy hair, she seemed confused, but finally pulled a dusty one out of the back. The worst part was that she made me straighten my own hair and did not know how to use it at all. Also, she cut a big chunk of damaged hair off of one side of my head, creating a mushroom-like clump that my new stylist has had to trim every time I've seen her since the Beehive incident. Any stylist with even some experience should know how much bleach is too much for someone's hair. To this day, my hair is still very damaged from that experience, and my new, permanent stylist (Uyen at Beleza!) and I are trying to fix what Beehive ruined. Their hair products, tools, and overall salon are sub par, as are their skills. Cons: inadequate skills, lack of manners, lack of experience, awful product lines, etc.
