If you've never been to a speedway motorcycle race, boy are you missing out. The sport is huge in Europe and found its rebirth here in North America 40 years ago right here at the Orange County Fairgrounds. Its such a great family event. I loved it as a kid and now my kids love it. Its so easy to attend on a Saturday night typically May thru October. The pageantry, the California Sunset and then the excitement of alcohol burning 500cc highly specialized bikes with no brakes race handle grip to handle grip around a dirt oval. VERY EXCITING! Even to the non motorcycle enthusiast its appreciated.
Pros: you can move around, get some great snacks, see some great stuff like side cars and freestyle motocross
Cons: beer can be expensive
