We went to Optical Outlet to get my dad his first pair of new glasses in a little over five years. We went in and everything was fine, the problem was when the exam was over and the associate started to talk to us. First, she tried to tell us that our insurance didn't cover as much on frames as it actually does, then she proceed to give us five different estimates on his glasses ranging from about $150.00 all the way up to almost $300! She also told us that our insurance didn't cover transitions, well this was a lie! Today we went and picked up my dad's rx and was told it would only be $104.00. My dad and I took the script and went to Wal- mart and got him poly- carbonate no glare lenses with transitions for only $80.00, with designer flexible frames with slip on magnetic shades!!!! The service at Wal-mart was a compete 180 from what we expereinced at Optical Outlet. In all honesty, save your money and time and go to Wal- mart, Optical Outlet just isn't worth it.
