As a little girl, I used to go to Mitchell's when it was still on Coventry to satisfy my youthful sweet-tooth. I re-discovered Mitchell's only recently and I can honestly say nothing has changed over the last 20 years. Mitchell's still offers some of the finest chocolate I have ever had. It is pricey (about $28.00/lb.) but well worth every penny. They are also very helpful in guiding you through the types of flavors or gift boxes that might be appropriate for your particular taste or need. I went in there to get chocolates for the parents of someone I was dating, and meeting for the first time, and the woman behind the counter helped me to make the perfect choice for the circumstance, and for my budget. And when I asked for a ganache truffle, she went into the back and came out with a cinnamon dark chocolate combination that was truly heaven! I strongly recommend Mitchell's for anyone living in, or visiting, the Cleveland area!
Pros: helpful staff, delicious chocolate, decadent variety of candies
Cons: pricey - but well worth it, and no more expensive than Godiva!
