I dropped off a vacuum cleaner to have the belt replaced on a Friday. I was told from the start that a belt replacement would cost $25, and the kind lady that took it in said I would be called if the repair were to cost more than that. Two full weeks later, I hadn't heard a word about it. I decided just to pick it up to attempt replacing the ($3) belt myself. Different woman at the counter, asked my last name, said ""oh yeah, it's ready."" When I tell her I was never called, she said, ""well, you should have received a call."" Yes, I know, that's why I'm telling you! Got it home to try it out. New high pitched sound progressed to rattling, followed by a pop and scarier still high pitched sound. Yes, I should insist that they fix it, but since they did such a bang up job the first time, I feel like that would be silly. They did have some lovely fabrics, perhaps their sewing help is grand, I don't know. Definitely not worth the time and expense for vacuum repair.
