Review content:
This place is very old school as bar / lounges go, it looks very 1970's and the customers look like they've been there since then. It's mostly an older adult crowd, average age somewhere around 50, not that it's a bad thing, I'm 49 as of this writing. The fun factor depends on who's working at the time and what band is playing. Some of the bands are genuinely talented but more often they get lounge-lizard reject bands that stink. The crowd goes nuts for whoever is playing though, it's not big on good taste in music here, as long as the band makes noise, the people will dance.
It is almost always empty when the dude bartends, (you'd think the owner would pick up on this) but the women behind the bar are generally good and bring in more people. On weeknights without the bands it's a good conversation bar, I haven't seen many sloppy drunks there. Some of the desperate-to-get-laid old men can be a bit annoying.
I've had fun there and will probably go back, it's kind-of a good hide-out.
