The Pontchartrain Hotel was built in the 1920's in the heart of the New Orleans Garden District - right on the trolley line and the Mardi Gras parade route!
The hotel is small and offers different size rooms from cozy chalet type rooms to large suites.
No room service but the restaurant downstairs is excellent - breakfast is the best with wonderful croissants and other pastries.
There is a small bar located on the first floor as well. Valet parking is offered but you can also find parking on the street if you'd like.
This hotel offers great deals during the year and is a steal when it comes to price.
I enjoy staying at this quaint, unique hotel - it is a great diversion from the standard, cookie cutter chains.
